Just bought 18.9 L of the motomaster 80w90 yesterday for $125, without consulting the chart. In hindsight, I’m Glad the specs compare favourably in most columns. At $7/L it’s a lot more economical than roughly $15-20/L for most other brands, or the $28/L I paid for Redline MT90 for my trans & tcase.

 

New question; what the fuck oem enginge oil 0w20 just cost me $15 a liter...

I just checked my previous bill that I paid for toyota oil last month and it was 94.78 for 12 litres tax in from Guelph toyota.

Supposedly Toyota oil got some additives others oils don’t have…

I usually buy four 4.73L jugs of 0W30 from CT or Walmart when they have a sale. Ran Mobil 1 for three years because they were repeatedly on sale for less than $30 a jug ($6.34/L). Switching to Pennzoil PurePlus for the next two years because they were more recently on sale.

Just grabbed 3 jugs of Quaker State 5W30 at CT for $26 something (pre-tax). Still got a rain cheque in my wallet for that price, they had no-stock when I went in last week.
Where to buy OEM Toyota oil filters for less than $10 ea? I read of america ppls buying a case at a time for discount, but I’ve never been offered a price quantity discount despite asking currently.

 

Fwiw I got a Blackstone done after switching from Castrol to Kirkland. Nothing deficient compared to Castrol.

Amsoil works great. I've changed both diffs twice with it. The squeeze packaging makes the process easy, especially on the front.

 

I just bought another case of Costco oil. The price has gone up about $20 in the last year or so.
