    Full OME 3"lift, LR UCA's,Destination 285/70/17's, 1.25 spidertrax, K&N drop in, 2nd filter removed, Weathertech liners, Toyota bed mat, reverse lights,Wet Oklee's, bedlights and other small stuff.
    I needed more venison in the freezer so back to the woods I went.
    The weather has been warmer than normal and the rut has been funky. It looked like it was going to kick off and then nothing. I still have bucks grouped up.
    My area has a weird genetic trait. A nice rack on one side and a cow horn on the other. I’ve seen pics with five points on one side and a funky cow horn on the other. I’ve spoken to my surrounding neighbors and they’ve all seen it and want it gone. So I did my part this evening. I took this goofy five point. He was a young healthy buck and he will be enjoyed.
    No cool story with this guy. I got into my stand and watched two button bucks play/ feed for a while. Then at last light, my buck stepped out of the thick stuff. He was about to step back in but I said hello at 70 yards. He ran another 70 and piled up. I still find it amazing how an animal can run without a heart.

    I had used them for my back straps and inner loins but just cut them in half so that wasn't a big deal, and then I got the shoulders and thought "what the frick can I do here?" It was a heck of a lot easier than trying to cram a shoulder in an 11" bag too

    Thanks! Most people aren’t super familiar with Sitka blacktails; a 100” sitka is pretty giant. He was by far the nicest buck I saw all week. And yeah, he doesn’t really look like most blacktails, none of that mule deer feel at all. From the side he just looks like a classic 8pt whitetail.
