Yesterday I hit my driver side mirror hard on the garage opening which snapped the mirror forward (I was backing out) and cracked the clear plastic insert on the side of the mirror. The blind spot monitor is still working properly and there was no other damage.

I called the parts department at my local dealership and they said the insert was a replaceable part and was $55.

I have never replaced this part. Does anyone know how the old part comes out and the new one goes in ?

Pics of the part might help someone answer your question.

Yes the turn signal is the correct part. Thanks. The nomenclature helped me locate a you tube video showing how to remove the hood on the mirror exposing the turn signal. Just hope I can remove it without breaking ant of the plastic tabs.

Yes it's pretty easy to get to using just a plastic pry tool. Or if you're feeling extra hulky, your fingers. You can buy a nicer, brighter set on Amazon for like 35 bucks. Or if you want OEM, there are quite a few people that probably have spares collecting dust (A lot of people like to swap that part of for aftermarket)

Before you go nuts on dealer parts, check out RockAuto.com . I got rear bumper parts for half the cost and they fit and look as good as stock.

Okay well here is a really low quality photo of damage. Had to post the one with flash on as the other had my reflection or half my garage reflected.

Hope this clears up all the mass confusion and makes the post more worthy.

I'm 90% sure I have the turn signals still from when I upgraded to me so ones. I'd need to double check but if I do, I'd give them away..

Pulled off a 2016 off road a few years ago. They have some tint film residue but that comes off with googone. The film protected the lights.

Free, if you're willing to pay shipping. I upgraded and I'd be happy to send these to a new home..
