    Hey all,
A few days ago my brakes went out suddenly without warning.
After finding a significant leak on the rear driver side and tracing it to what I believe to be the origin of the leak I’m unable to get the bolt off due to rust. WD-40 was zero help! The leak appear to be coming from right behind that bolt which is the end of the metal brake line.
Is there an easy way to bypass that bolt or any other suggestions?
I’ll attach a couple of photos in hopes it helps show what I’m talking about.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
I guess from the pics you are talking about where the brake line mounts on the axel bracket.
Need to replace the line from there to back of brake drum. Should do both sides. Should check fronts also.
Probably have to cut the line and vise grip fitting out. Heat would help a lot, but be careful of WD-40, it burns real good.

That’s where it is. Unfortunately, not a ton of room to work with.

I’m getting ready to do the same thing. Mine have been soaking in PB Blaster and Aerokroil for the past two days.

Drop the spare tire. It gets you some room.

This. I did it and got so much more room. I’ve also read to remove the upper bracket to get more room to maneuver but I was just able to get the bottom two connections loose. Just use lot of penetrating fluid and a lot of patience.

WD-40 is actually not primarily designed as a penetrating oil. And it really doesn't work very well when used as one. There are far better products out there, but all of them have to sit and soak for a while to do any good.

Kroil did the trick after two days of patience.

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know the part # for the metal clip above the brake line on the photo above which bolts to the frame on one end and then inserts into the white clip of the wiring harness that runs to the rear of the truck?
