Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

Beautiful truck man

 

Am I nuts or does the Lunar Rock look darker at night and even on cloudy days?
It looks like two different colors to my eyes. In my head and when driving her, it’s a dark color….
I think this truck is making me question my thoughts.

 

By the way, I’d love to “like” all of the pics, especially the LRs but it’s 148 pages long….

Thanks! Years ago I had a 91 Toyota pickup for a short time and loved it! Through my search for a new Tacoma my wife and I ran across the Trail, advertised in the LR of course and the one thing my wife and I agreed on was the color! I wanted a 2.7 SR5 4WD…..through negotiations with my wife, I ended up with this beauty.

Marriage, sometimes just shut up and enjoy the ride.

 

100% lighter/darker depending on lighting. Looks greener in full sun, bluer at night.

 

Bought a taco yesterday! Already bought SPC UCA’s, this is gonna be fun!

 

The 303 enters. Did you go automatic or manual?

 

I’d hate to disappoint, but I went with an automatic. Do you do all your mods yourself? Or have you gone to any of the shops in town? Ie: Mountain Yotas, R4T..?

 

No disappointment, I lived in Denver for 35 years and the traffic is terrible. I moved in 2020 so not sure what shops are good or bad.

 

Measured the access cab to find out what the heck fits back there sub wise… I’m working with 20 x 12 x 6.5”. I’m going with the kicker 46TL7T104 slim enclosure. Fits on the floor and under the seat when folded down very nicely.

 

Over a year after I picked it up and it's still kicking ass more or less stock.

Added some interior mods today. Simple but look great.

2” bilstein 6112/5160 & 703’s and debadge. Debating on the sticker.

honestly 265 look perfect on it. Maybe 33’s down the road.

 

Picked up some 1552 Analog wheels and a Sherpa Animas rack. Just waiting for them to get delivered now
