Had the same symptoms Greg and wife didn't help by talking to me from another room where all I would hear was mumbled words and she would get mad when I asked what did you say...better now with the hearing aids. Tom @95SLE git a good price at Costco. I went to an ear doctor so mine were a bit more:rolleyes:. Worth the money to be able to hear again:thumbsup:.

Dunno why you didn't get them at the VA. I've had 3 sets from the VA, including an improved technology set and a replacement for that one when my cat (I suspect) dragged one set off the sink board into the trash can. Total cost is $50 for the Specialist (per visit), even the batteries are free. I hardly know they are in, and the wife's complaints about the TV Too loud are now because too quiet. Gotta admit though, the new Sonos Arc Soundbar is specifically for the hard of hearing.

    Evening all:

Happy anniversary to both you and Lynn Mark.

Today was the first day of deer season in Pa with an extended bear season, we saw NOTHING, which was the same as last year! :(
There were four of us, me, my buddy, and both a junior and a mentored hunter that are his grandsons, it's a shame that these young hunters can't see anywhere near the deer that we would see when we started hunting, those days are gone!
Zack, his oldest grandson, found a really nice wide 9 point partial skull and antlers laying in the woods, don't know what did it in, but it was there for a while, at least he ended up getting a gift from the woods!

I might go to the VA someday Alan. I have benefits from my job so I used them and still had to pay a little bit. Not to bad. I'll see how the sound bar works out. If it doesn't work I'll pack it up and take it back to WallyWorld:D.
Have a good night and prayers that you are getting good health report. Stay well.

Okay, so as of today I'm officially a member of this club. With that being said I have some questions.

    1) Who is responsible for issuing my official membership card and don't tell me it's those people at AARP either

    2) That was a damned long hill to climb getting here but when I look down the other side it looks more like a damned cliff. Are there ANY scenic overlooks on the way down? How do I slow down?

    3) Are snap, crackle, and pop now permanently the sounds I make getting out of bed or can I still hear them if I eat the right cereal?

    4) Fiber? Yay or nay?

All you young twerps make me sick. 56 and counting for Juanita and me. Got all our vaccines, haven’t had a cold or the flu or covid or a hangnail since they all were invented. Well, ok, we have our issues like anyone else, but we’re still above ground and full of fight!

Which hearing aids did you get? I've pretty much given up trying to find a decent pair of replaceable battery type hearing aids. Everyone says their rechargeable is the way to go. Then I ask about a lifetime guarantee... dial tone.

following… Terri said all she wants for Christmas is for me to get a hearing aid. She’s got a legit gripe, I’m really having trouble picking out conversations when there is any background noise.

Good Morning Folks. Hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving :amen:.

I have the Phonak Audeo P70-RT Mark. I have had no issues with them except for the batteries (rechargables) not lasting longer than 16 to 18 hours. I go back to see the Audiologist mid December for a check up.

    Have a good one Folks.

Sometimes even with the aids you will still have some problems in a noisy area. I adjust mine to high noise reduction and narrow speech focus and it does help but not 100%. I nainly have issues in busy restaurants. But anything to keep the Missus happy Kevin :D
In the real noisy areas, i try to read lips best i can and nod my head in agreement :rofl:Have a good day and do your research:thumbsup:

Everyone's system reacts differently to medically dispensed drugs. Did you ever read the "Information" sheet they pack in the box or attach to the prescription . Scary as hell, but if it helps then you,got to go for it. I for one don't take any maintenance meds and only take any if it is an absolute need. 74 and living the good life. Only reason I got the vaccines was because of the need to show proof when traveling. Just got home from a 3 month trip and had no issues.

    Have a good one :hattip:

    Morning Carl,
Upstate this weekend and the locals only got 3 deer and 2 coyotes. Usually they have all gotten one. Still have some time I guess. Hope you get one:thumbsup:
