With Toyota’s track record on first year of new Gen, I’m surprised so many are talking about buying them.

 

Where do y’all live that gas is that expensive? Just filled up for 2.89 at a shell in rural South Carolina.

No. This is still a Toyota Tacoma we are talking about. It’s a basic truck.
Hearing how you guys are saying it’s going to cost $65k for the fancy model????? That is insane. Tacoma is a 30-40k truck. That’s it. It’s not worth any more. For 65k, I expect a luxurious, full size, powerful truck.

but I guess Toyota will jack up the prices as long as people are willing to pay.

 

I don’t remember the exact year, but the truck in the commercial probably did not have a catalytic converter or other emissions crap. I used to love working on my muscle cars back then because there was actually room to work in the engine compartment.

 

$65k is too much for a full size truck! A fully optioned diesel suburban wasnt that much the last time the federal minimum wage increased.

 

If my memory is correct Catalytic Converters started around 1975 or 1976. The truck in that commercial was probably the early to mid 80's.

 

So a f150 should be 20k also but a raptor R crests 110k.

Yeah, I figured I'd get a BS response from some whippersnapper. You want to spend 60-80k on a Truck have at it! You can always sleep in the back of your truck
instead of a house or condo.

One can always have a house and a truck. Not everyone makes minimum wage.

 

I have no plans to spend that much on a truck. I thought 37k was too much for my 2021.

 

Raptor R should be 65k can't tow or haul squat with it. I sure don't need a carbon fiber console, or a rear bench seat either. Get rid of that stupid panoramaic roof too. I'm not going to be staring up into outer space when I got a SC V8 under the hood.

Heard of it, never been and never will go! Only place west I spend time in is Wyoming or Montana.

 

I went there to visit a friend of mine about a month ago. He lives in LA area near Hollywood. The gas prices were around 6 dollars a gallon. And the amount of homeless people there was crazy.

That's the only time I will ever go there is to visit family/friends.

 

$3.50 near chicago on the indiana side, $4.15 on the illinois side.

Aint that something?! My 86 4Runner used to be my daily driver from 15-17, and I averaged 17MPG, my 19 Taco is about the same…
