I agree. I've been looking into Falken Wildpeaks. I'll give up some of my mud capability, but the MT tire noise is deafening.

 

Pretty sure it had to have gotten near there temp wise at night when we were there @Kwikvette @eon_blue. Wasnt too bad in a tent, just layer up and get a good sleeping bag. And hope to God you don't have to piss in the middle of the night.

 

I know what ya mean there. I had that with torrential rain earlier this month. LOL..

 

I've hard good things about the Falkens. Seem like a good go

 

Lots of 100s owners seem to like them. Must do well with heavy weight.

The coldest I think I've had was middle of Mojave in December, got down into single digits with a lot of wind. I damn near froze to death getting up to pee in the middle of that night with a splitting headache from cheap whiskey around the camp fire. I learned the hard way you should sleep with your water bottle in your sleeping bag otherwise it freezes solid

Just have a good sleeping bag rated for freezing weather and something to piss in inside the tent lol

 

This for sure.

Most of us had layers, so when it started to warm up we just shed them as the day went on.

Unless you just drink a whole shit ton and sleep with a jacket on in your front seat like @JKO1998

I don't think 25 is too bad. We were in the teens on our last trip and I just have a basic 20° bag and some warm clothing. It helps to have some of those little hand warmers to put in your socks if you're one of those people that gets cold feet

Sleeping in your LC will be easy.

Just put a sleeping pad down, use a nice sleeping bag, and layers if you're a cold sleeper. That's it.

Electric blanket and stuff is way overboard.

 

You should be fine with some long underwear, and average sleeping bag and a knit hat. Plus you're in the cruiser so you can just turn it on if you get uncomfortable.

 

Yep, those LCs have tri-zone climate control if I recall correctly. I fired up the 4R and turned on the rear heat a bit when I got up early mornings.

 

I just leave the furnace running all night and in the twenties the van easily maintains 65*
