Finally had a free moment to install anti-theft tailgate deterrent…now need to find the time to wash her.

Adding this to my list, thanks! I just bought the Auxbeam AR-800 during Black Friday. I'm using the Fitztaprint panel from Etsy.

Finished up the bumper, pretty happy with how it turned out.

Very nice setup so far, and you're right it does look factory. Keep us posted on the rest of the install. I look forward to it.

I wish I knew about the power tray you linked. Would have prevented me from hacking away at mine with a dremel and plasti-dipping it.

    The list is growing.
I’ll police the areas under the truck this winter in the mean time. and really get the underneath properly next spring. Getting the truck in late August didn’t help with timing and work.

Installed my $14.98 Amazon Black Friday specials to get rid of the bright chrome on the doors. Did the V6 on the tailgate also. Needed an Xacto knife to expose the sticky side of the 3M tape but other than that was easy and a perfect fit. We'll see if they last in the Florida heat but I figured for $15 it was worth the risk.

lol, those are the notes most of my projects have, but they're all in my head!

and while it might be cheaper and easier the first time, i'm always happiest with the install after the 2nd or 3rd time around!

You know, sometimes I agree with this perspective. While I state that it's easier and cheaper to do an install the right way the first time, sometimes an idea spawns and it necessitates iteration on a preexisting mod. For example, I have the rear seat deletes installed which block the C-pillar trim panels. Those panels are going to have to come off in order to support my NMO and WeBoost install. I also should really move my seat heater relays into a relay box as opposed to having them just velcroed to the storage area under the rear seat.

I recently sold my 2013 TRD OR Access Cab and bought a 2020 TRD Sport MT. How I got lucky enough to scoop it up before two other potential buyers still blows my mind. I thank my tattoo artist at the the time that finished a 60 min tattoo in 35 min, which allowed me to get to the stealership and grab the keys first, which allowed me to say "I'll take it" first.

Now that I have the perfect base model to start my ultimate build, I decided to take advantage of some Black Friday deals.

    I purchased:

C4 Fabrication Overland Front Bumper w/ Full Height Bull Bar with Tube Gussets and the Frame Support Brackets. (Chose this one for a combination of price, and fog light cut outs. I also like the tube gussets with the bull bar. Since the 2016 update, i think the headlight hoops and bull bar are too tall, but the gussets really calm the effect down, imo)

CBI High Clearance Classic Rear Bumper (No swing out, not needed. Chose this over C4 because of the design under the taillights. While I do like the option for the added protection bars, the large steel face looks ugly to me, and is likely an all around heavier bumper.)

Cali Raised 25 Degree Bolt-On Rock Sliders without filler plates (Chose based on kickout shape alone.)

RCI Offroad Engine Skid Plate (Chose because it didn't look like the C4 had enough breathability and it was a bit cheaper.)

Baja Designs S8 30" Light Bar - Amber

Vivid Lumen FNG SAE Standard Pods - Amber (Chose these over baja designs because the amber fogs just have covers. The Vivids have a permanent amber lense. Vivid Lumen is also Canadian. And cheaper.)

TRD Pro Grille without raptor lights and black TOYOTA text

Once all of this stuff arrives I will look at the electrical and figure out my switch system. I liked my Always on Fogs from my 2nd gen, and will look to do something similar. I'm not a fan of aftermarket looking switch organizers. So I'm likely going to get OEM switches and place them where I can.

The current truck came with a 20" white light bar that I will be selling once I install everything.

Changed the air filter from the TRD to the OEM. No surprises there. TRD looks like a dirty K&N. :notsure:

Flexed the suspension a bit. All looks good. I'll need to install the swaybar disconnects to get full range up-front.

The wrap looks good but the flat black on the roof is definitely going to make the cab hotter in the summer.

Best photo I got. I know this a different thread but I got myself some alpha Rex headlights and got into a bit of a fender bender. Bent my headlight. Fixed it and now it’s fogging up on the inside. Can I fix it without having to buy a new one or am I kinda screwed? E08BD436-3A58-4A47-91C9-78CC580771F6.jpg

Nice! the heat will actually help the adhesives to stick much better. As long as the surface is clean.
I always warm up any double sided adhesive tape before install…

The ugly chrome was cleaned with liberal amounts of alcohol which I let dry before applying the overlay. Doesn't take long for the alcohol to evaporate especially since we have a nice breeze today. 84 and sunny :)
