You know, glad you said that. Thought it was just me. These “make you feel good” movies and shows don’t do it. What does are things like Marks anniversary, that’s a long time to be with someone who you care for and cares about you, your daughter John getting better and having her enjoy the holidays and family and friends. It’s what you make it, how you do it and who you do it with.
You, yourself make it possible. No one else does.
Ok….getting emotional here so I’ll stop. So you know, been helping the wife (since hunting sucked) decorating the house the last 4 hours.
Looks like Santa AND the elves just threw up in every room. What can I say, makes her happy so it makes me happy.
That’s what it’s about…..
The boy and I are trying again tomorrow, took off, hope it’s what makes me happy…..mmmm, venison
Gotta go, seems I still have half dozen more boxes still to bring up from the basement, smiling the whole time!

A box truck crashed through a long-vacant house on the Navy base. This was a private home at one point I think, and then it purchased by the government when they expanded the base. This house, along with several other houses, was modernized and fitted with central A/C in the 1980s or 1990s. The base was pretty much closed down more than a decade ago, and these houses of have all been vacant for somewhere in the range of 12 to 15 years, likely destined for the wrecking ball anyway...

 

This happened on Friday, and my parents and I believe that simply removing the truck will cause the house to collapse, so that's why they haven't moved it yet...

 

For a house that has been vacant and unmaintained since before 2010, the interior was in pretty decent shape...
