Try a search this comes up often.
You’ll get anywhere from magnets, console safes, hot glue gun another holster to under dash, molle molle molle, to “keep your gun on your person you schmuck!”.
I prefer a nice version of the latter.

I don’t have one and I’m not sure if they make one for a Tacoma, but I saw a company advertising a cool storage box/safe made to look like a stock passenger side head rest.
It opened on the side facing the driver and you’d have no idea unless you knew it was there. Pretty slick.

What happens when the passengers head hits that in an accident? Seems like it might be a trade off…

I don’t recommend ever leaving a firearm in a vehicle unless you have too.
And if you have to, something like a console box is best.

I have never seen a case were a thief broke into a vehicle and left the firearm.
Depending on the thief, you might have just given them the motive to break into an occupied house. (Like yours)

Ok, enough with the nanny talk.
Do as you please, it’s your truck and pistol.

Your "car piece". If you are responsible enough to own a "piece", you should be responsible enough to figure out were the best place for said "piece" is. I prefer to keep my "gat and clips" in random places in my trucks. It keeps things spicey.

Mounting your car piece in your truck? Try the back seat. BTW, this is not a dating site.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
When I was single I kept condoms in my truck. Now I just leave farts. In some states you are going to be met with some pretty pissed off law enforcement for being a contributer to gun violence. Keep it on you, or leave it at home.

If it's stolen, you only have hours to report it. Your liable in civil court as the owner if it's stolen, used and not reported. ( As it should be) I never want to have to call my sheriff to say I let a H&K .45 run free

    Oh look, another mod....
I keep my 1911 (but mine's a Remington, not a Colt) mounted to my dashboard. You know, so it's immediately available to me during those times of road rage. I'm kidding...well, maybe.

I don't store mine. I carry mine with me. It's like insurance, I hope to God I never have to use it, but when I do use it, I'm SO glad I had it. Speaking of.....I hope you have gun owners insurance.

If you shoot someone (even if you're in the right), you may get sued. Insurance will pay for a lawyer and for any settlement that they may win.

I hold the wheel with my left hand and keep the gun in my right. That way any passenger I have doesn't get any ideas and anyone who cuts me off gets a quick clip

Buy an interior molle mount, buy any holster that uses a safariland QLS (or any other quick connect) and attach the receiver to the molle and mount.
