Yeah, it dropped about 3 weeks ago. Sounds like it was only available in Park City, I was hoping The Prisoner Winery had some bottles but it sounds like they aren’t legally allowed to sell the spirits - per the host and out whiskey server at The Prisoner this afternoon.
They did however have a wine aged in High West bourbon and rye barrels at the winery. So high west took the prisoners barrels and vice versa. I bought a bottle - wine was okay, probably not worth the $100 I spent on it, but I’m sure we can find a worthwhile occasion to open it up on

Lynn and I celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary yesterday. After a great dinner at a local restaurant, we came home and opened the Booker's 2022-02. Cheers!

How would you describe it, and what did you pay? I have an unopened bottle, kind of saving it to have with my dad in law on a special occasion, he loves cigars. We’ll probably open it at Christmas.

So we tried it side by side with the regular strength angels and it’s really good but idk if I would say it’s worth the price tag. I paid retail at total wine. It’s very smooth and doesn’t drink like it’s 120 proof. I’d probably not buy again because at that price point I can think of many better options.

Very intense and very define. I tried a different batch at the bar so hopefully this one have a similar profile. It's one of the best 200 msrp bottle I've owned. Remind me of old carter bourbon or ehtbp. Going to get some slack for it but those two have a full mouth fill but isn't define enough for me. I just don't know where the palate is going. This has the intensity and at the end you're gasping for this big breath of air. You're not gasping because the alcohol is to intense but more like taking the flavors in.

    I paid 300.

That’s awesome to hear, I like bourbons where you can pick out some distinctive individual flavors, they certainly aren’t all that way. I read a lot of reviews where these people are picking out five or six individual elements in the nose, palate and finish. EACH. In every bourbon they sample. And they come up with absurdly specific descriptions. I don’t believe them.

A well earned pour. Between Thanksgiving, friends, family and a work weekend at a friends hunt camp, I’m spent. Cheers.

I'm not great at describing it. It has a distinctive profile and the whole ride is enjoyable. I like the characteristics. Some other high priced allocated bourbon have very similar taste. This stood out.

Jealous. I traded the last bottle of EHT BP, and regret it. Hopefully it makes its way back to me sooner than later.

Lynn has a sister who lives in the Eagle area. She bought a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 year the other day from a Wine and Spirits store somewhere in the area a few days ago.

In an ABC maybe a week or two ago chatting with one of the clerks who’s got a lot of knowledge to share and some interesting opinions. He’s a rum guy, keeps saying rum is going to be the next bourbon. Interested to see if that ever even remotely plays out.
