Ah the old Frank Barone stretchy pants.

I am not a fan of LG either. Samsung and Sony are some of the best. My Sony is a 2019 model and works flawlessly. LG, at the time, made all the OLED panels what differs is what the manufacture does with the panels. LG chooses inexpensive components to keep cost down. Samsung and Sony start with high quality video and sound processors and the list goes on.

Actually, quite a lot. You need to ask yourself what do you want out of a sound bar system. They range from 2.1 Dolby processing to full blown 7.1.1 sound systems with Dolby ATMOS, center speaker, rear speakers and a subwoofer. I am partial to Klipsch speakers, but Samsung makes some nice sound bar speaker systems. I am more of a component system type of guy. I have had a stereo set up forever, since when I came home from the military. Remember when TV programs such as Austin City Limits were broadcast with a FM signal so you could listen to the music through your stereo. Today I run a 10-speaker home theater system, all Klipsch, with front and rear Dolby Atmos and a decent, but older, subwoofer.

    1. Last I heard was the membership cards were issued by the admins. Word of advice do not piss off Mountain Girl.
    2. No scenic overlooks, unless you were blessed with grandchildren. Slowing down is an option but we refuse to stop, just takes longer to accomplish the tasks we used to do at 40.
    3. Consider yourself lucky that you can still hear and feel the snap, crackle and pop.
    4. Fiber is good. Some say fiber is present in beer and some whiskey's.

I have almost the same ones, just branded Costco KS10's. Really a nice hearing aid when adjusted properly.

Good Morning. Congratulations Colonel on 48 years.

I made Turkey stock yesterday. I tried a new recipe from Chef Jet Tila. Pics at the bottom. Roasted the turkey carcass and veggies before going into the stock pot. Yielded about 11 quarts of turkey stock.
Making a small batch of turkey soup today using the fresh stock and leftover Thanksgiving meal veggies, fresh cut carrots, celery, green beans and turkey. Serve over le3ft over mashed potatoes. Great way to clean out the fridge.

    Just a thought:D.

    Morning all:

Morning Ken, we had our chances during archery, but nothing seemed to go right! Good to hear that the locals got rid of a couple of coyotes, I will shoot every coyote that I can.
We've been checking up on the regulations for youth mentored hunters and Jr. hunters, seems like no one else takes the time, so grandpa and his old hunting buddy need to know what the regs. are!
Lynn (grandpa) was sitting with both of them yesterday which we found out is a no no after reading the rules, he can only have one of them with him. So tomorrow Lynn will sit with the mentored youth hunter and I will sit with the Jr. hunter, if a buck comes by I still have a buck tag and he doesn't, and if a doe comes by it's all his. We can all sit together if we want to since both young hunters will then each have a mentor with them, but I doubt that we will do that and will just stay in the same general area and cover different deer trails.
Hopefully we can manage to get a deer, would be nice if Lynns youngest grandson got one, then grandpa did his job and both grandsons will have gotten their first deer with grandpa, something they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Good hunting Carl. It is a noble deed Lynn (Grandpa) and you are doing for the lads. Even if they don't get a deer, memories will be made just hunting with 2 d coots.... Happy hunting and thank you for teaching and doing it right .
    Have a good night.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Personally, I don't so much want louder but I appreciate the added dynamic range and separation the soundbar provides. The sub adds just the right of bottom punch to fill.

Yep. I had the same problem with rechargeable Eargo's. Really liked them, but the batteries don't last any time at all. They'll replace the hearing aids, but soon the warranty period expires, and you're SOL. I had two sets replaced, the third I bought on AMZ, lasted 10 days. AMZ refunded the full price, per their 30 day return policy. I considered myself lucky. I'm looking for a good in the ear replaceable battery type. I would like to try them for 30 days... too much to ask? Take away delivery time both ways, 30 days really isn't very long at all. Maybe a week.
Today I went into town, bought 35gal. gas, some more fire blocks, got a bite to eat, came home and put stabilizer in the gas, sat by the fire, life is good. I didn't need to hear squat.

That is a good question Mark. I go to see her on December 21 and I will be sure to ask her. They are too expensive to just throw away. My first aids were battery and it was a PITA to always carry extra batteries in case one died and then it was the additional cost of buying the batteries and if shipped that was added on. I will let you know what she has to say.
    Have a good one Sir.

Carl: I hope you have a great and successful day hunting.

I do not listen to the sound system loud at all. The clarity is decent, and I like the ATMOS aspect of the system. When the source video is encoded with ATMOS the entire room comes saturated with sounds. If there is a helicopter in the scene you hear the rotors from above. Gunshots and sharp sounds have an added depth to them. I have always liked watching movies and the system brings the sounds to my living room. If you have wondered what a decent system sounds like take a couple of hours and visit a decent AV dealer with a listening room. You might have to make an appointment.

Good Morning. Physical therapy today and I am making a bean soup with the Thanksgiving ham bone.

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Never did get around to checking in yesterday; son came over to tackle another underbody panel on Darth Previous. It didn't go so well for us. The replacement panels I tracked down, were not even close. Once we got an old one off, and the tape off, we found another part number to track it with, and what we need isn't a part anymore. It's a part of a part, but we can get it. Then, he discovered that when he took it to a dealer last spring to try to tie down a panel in the back that we eventually replaced - the dealer shop didn't even do anything in the back, had RIPPED off the front valance underpanel that we replaced last year, and told him he needed a whole new front bumper!. Just shreds of where it was left! Didn't go well for us. Correct parts ID'd again, available. Wrong parts OK'd for credit - they said keep them. And he's going to call the one helpful guy from that dealer to see about getting the part they took replaced or paid for!

Since we're chatting up hearing aids again - I went back to the Audiologist I've been with for my latest pair. They smoke the Phonaks I used to have. Not one problem with the rechargeables - they last all day. Never had one need a second charge. They are Widex, from Canada.

This. ^ I've never had any issue with Sony or Samsung products... My LG smartphone and LG smartwatch, very very much ahead of their time.

However, for TVs and appliances, I'd also have to skip looking at LG. They make great panels, but the quality of their other products? Err.

Got friends and relatives that got sucked into buying expensive Samsung washers and dryers... and they are universally unhappy with them. But I just bought a Samsung TV... so we'll see how that goes.

I wouldn't buy appliances from Samsung, but their electronics are great.

Today I ordered a very cool Samsung surround sound bar from best buy. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but it was also $300 off for black friday. It's the sound bar, 3 satellite speakers, and the sub. Won't be in until Friday. It's a Q series so it will pair up with the TV perfectly.

Back in the day, 5.1 Surround Sound could only be had by your stereo / amp. I had a nice Sony with center, fl, fr, rl, rr and a subwoofer.
Favorite movies I watched with the thing: Titanic, Das Boot, Matrix, and ... Apocalypse Now Redux. All of these movies had insane surround-sound content.
If ordering a setup like you're getting, make sure you rent/watch something really encoded that'll put the system to the test.

Das Boot was particularly wonderful. I started freaking out with every poppin' rivot. I highly recommend that movie. Enjoy!

Cool thing about the satellite speakers is they are wireless so you don't have to run wires all over the place. One of my cats loves the plastic on the wires, can't tell you how many I have repaired only to be chewed again. It seems to have learned about power cords though, lol.
