Well, I am a noob and it shows - I forgot to bring my Center Caps so I'll need to go back to have them installed . In the meantime, can anyone recommend good quality black lug nuts? They used the ones I had for my wheels but it doesn't look great. Thanks everyone

Also Edit: For anyone who bought the FJ Cruise wheels (17inches) and had them powdercoated, did you have a hard time put the wheels on? The powdercoat made it super tight and some of the paint scraped off. Hopefully it doesnt rust.

Edit 2: Images while I wait for the center cap to be installed:[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I went with black Gorilla spline nuts. You need a thin nut to clear the centre caps.

I purchased them from a custom wheel place. They purchase in bulk.
They are extended length, acorn spline nuts. I saw them in packages at many online retailers

I used the OEM SR/SR5 lug nuts when I had my FJ steel wheels. I was able to slip a thin-wall socket between the lug and center cap, but I don’t know how I’d get them off with a lug wrench.

If I kept them I would have gone with a set of spline drives in the future.

I ran 17” x 7.5” fj Steelies prior to running my 2020 trd pro 16” rims. I plan to switch back to these at some point. I really liked the way they looked. Mine were sandblasted, and powder coated gloss black.

I was on stock suspension at this point- now i have Falcon Terra flex shocks and camburg uca’s with leveling lift.

Just installed my steel winter rims and tires. Hard to look at compared to the OEM rims. Been trying to find a center cap but no luck.

I think GM and Chevrolet trucks and the same lug pattern as Tacomas don't they? Has anyone tried fitting a set of GM center caps like these on a Tacoma rim? Chrome optional - Black would look nice I think.

If the caps did fit, they would require a lug nut with a threads on the outside to attach the caps. Not sure what you'd call that style. Maybe I'm dreaming......

20221119_164044.jpg 16 inch steelies with 265/75 Coopers from a 2nd Gen on my 22. Running these for the winter this year and probably going to switch to a set of dedicated snows on these wheels for next winter.

Thinking about picking up a 2.7 regular cab. Does anyone know the part number or have a source for the 5 lug? Specifically the black ones with holes.
