Can I use Ultraguage and Pedal Commander together?

I need to improve gas mileage in my Taco. I wanted to get an UltraGuage and a Pedal commander and set it to eco and change the way I drive watching UltraGuage MPG. But I think they both use OBDII, is there a splitter? Would that work?

 

Pedal commander should not be using OBD2 to my knowledge, should just jump in line between the wiring and the gas pedal connector. So they would be independent of one another and work fine side by side.

Yeah. The pedal commander connects to the throttle pedal.

And my scangaue plugs into the obd2 port, but then it provides another obd2 port. It has its own that you can plus into.

 

I'm skeptical that pedal commander would increase fuel efficiency.

 

The only thing it can do, is reduce throttle response. Honda has a “eco” button that does this. When you go from 0 to 50% throttle in an instant, the computer slows that down so you gently get to 50%. That way, it’s smoother, and saves you fuel.

 

pedal commander is only going to simulate you pushing on the gas pedal less than you are in eco mode.... it will only increase the fuel mileage because you are in essence easier on the gas.

For the 240 bucks ON SALE the pedal commander currently is on Amazon, fuel savings if any seen would take a MANY MANY miles... and you can achieve the SAME thing by simply being easier on the gas pedal. Which is free and the pedal commander wont ever come close to free.

 

I actually love my pedal comander. It works great. And I typically wouldn't get gadgets like that. I use a scan gauge and the p c together.

 

Has anyone used a tuner to make their taco run better? I recently placed some auto zone ignition coils and wires(questioning that decision) and new spark plugs and my mpg dropped to like 10mpg. I did some injector cleaner and now in closer to 13mpg. 20 gallon gets me 250 miles. City driving. 2013 Tacoma used get me close to 20. Same ko2 tires as before. I don't know what I can do except try new ignition coils, wires, and plugs and maybe pay a shop to clean my injectors. Any advice?
So after getting my ac replaced the MPG has gone back up to 17-19mpg. Must of been some kind electrical issue with the compressor or something but I'm glad it's fixed!
