People were giving OSU an 80% chance of making the playoff with a loss before the game yesterday.

However, I believe it'll be Michigan, Georgia, TCU, and USC provided each team takes care of business next week. USC has one loss and that was by 1 point on the road. OSU got blown out at home. I don't see how they get in without help next week.

The four teams you mentioned should absolutely get in if they win their conference. Shouldn’t even be the slightest bit of discussion from the committee on this.

Debatably should get in if they don’t win their conference, but lose in a close championship game.

Luke Fickell is leaving Cincinnati to be the new head coach at Wisconsin

Nebraska announced yesterday Matt Rhule as their HC

what’s the word at Auburn? Did Freeze fall through? That’s what I’m hearing.

And look at all the teams crapping the bed, literally BEGGING Alabama to make it in. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Alabama shouldn't even be in consideration.

But, I do believe I pointed to this exact phenomenon when people complained about Alabama getting preferential treatment.

All these teams had to do was win their games, effectively removing Alabama from the conversation all together.

You’re correct, but to debate that point, the AP poll has Alabama ahead of Tennessee. Equal records, but Tennessee wins head to head. Makes no sense.

don’t tell me a loss to SC is “so much worse” because if that’s true, Tennessee wouldn’t be ranked 1 spot behind Bama. So, if you’re going to put 2 teams side by side in the rankings, and they’ve played head to head…the winner should be ahead of the loser. End of story.

Bama has 2 losses by a combined 4 points. Tennessee has 2 losses by 39 total Points and has been blown out twice. You play bama/UT 10 times and bama wins 9 of them.

Bama also has 2 close wins by a combined 5 points to A&M and Texas, two teams they should have blown out.

Hey, I agree. I'm just saying, Alabama is doing NOTHING to move up. There is absolutely NOTHING the fans, players, coaches, alumni, boosters, etc can-or have done to make this happen. But, there is plenty that other teams have done, to allow it....(losing, mainly.)

Says who? How do people come to the conclusion that THIS Alabama team should blow out THIS year's (insert team here).

Why does Alabama have to BLOW OUT everyone on their schedule? Yet, nobody else does......

In that case, UT looks REALLY bad getting railed by a team most in the SEC would wave a pleasant goodbye to.

This somewhat would answer @jjones.yota 's question about why Alabama is ranked over UT.

Bye South Carolina, hello Florida State.

Also, its been well known, for quite some time that it is better to lose early in the season, than late. UT lost late. Badly.

I bet those goal posts had some luck on em.....Washed off in the river, now. What a shame.

Why/how would Alabama jump one-loss Ohio State?
Remember... Ohio State always has that "Total Body of Work" tucked into their back pocket. That's what they used to get into the playoffs over TCU several years ago.
Makes no difference that so many of Ohio States wins are routs of nobody's with losing records.

But they won. A 1 point win and 4 point win look better than a loss period.

I don’t want Bama to make it in. I don’t think they should. They don’t deserve it. But, after tennessees absolute skull fucking by SC, I have zero problem with bama being ranked over utk

Joel Klatt has pointed out that this year's playoff rankings have been particularly bad. But that being said, I definitely agree with Alabama ahead of Tennessee just because Tennessee has looked worse in their losses. Even though Alabama scheduled an FCS school in week 11.

Well they only played once this year and Bama lost. That’s facts. What isn’t fact is that they’d win 9/10.

simply saying, they’re both overrated in the rankings because of sec bias, but if you’re going to put them SIDE BY SIDE then the winner should be first. Anything otherwise, is actual stupidity.
