Plenty, not too big of a deal, first one was probably an air cooled VW as a teenager.

Take that thing, fix it up, probably still be more reliable that the new cylinder deactivation/auto stop start/yadda yadda yadda stuff being pumped out.

Yeah some of the more modern stuff can get a little complex. But it's best to take your time to take pictures and label everything.

For your post bashing that poor little Mitsubishi!

There is a soft spot in my heart for Mitsubishi’s. They are better cars then they are given credit for.

Geez, how many cars do you have?

The Outlander Sport is a solid car. Unlike that junker Charlie posted, arghh I will agree lol

The last engine swap I did was in that damn Dakota, "think it was last winter", even recall sending you a few pictures of it hanging on the cherry picker in my garage.

I’m not sure what engine the 2003 explorer had, but I never liked the 4.0 SOHC engine.
I like the the old 4.0 OHV. But I’m biased, I learned to drive a manual transmission on a Ranger with that engine. And it’s still going with over 236k. It probably has closer to 300k on it. The odometer doesn’t work.

That little truck has been through a lot.
I busted a left rear shock hauling over 1ton of pea gravel in the bed.
I was young, and didn’t know any better. You know the truck is over loaded when you go around curves and the front tires squeal and want to keep going straight. That was a LONG trip. And I only went about 20 miles.

    Those were actually pretty good.
My uncle had a V8 Explorer. It had 160k on it when the transmission started giving him trouble.
I bet the oil was changed once every few year.

He works in the banking industry. A mechanic he is not.

    He now has an F150 w/3.5 Eco-boost.
He didn’t know until after he bought it it needed premium fuel.
He lives in the middle of Los Angels, has is expensive.

The remedy for that, he bought his wife a Tesla.
She doesn’t work, so he drives it. (It’s the performance Model 3. He ain’t fool nobody, it’s his car. It was never her car) You married guys know the deal;)

I was offered a 1994 Explorer for free just last week.
My dads wife’s mother is on hospice, she isn’t expected to make it long.
My dads wife offered me the explorer (her mother).

I passed, Not feeling it. Just doesn’t sit right with me.
The woman isn’t even dead yet, and they are already getting rid of her possessions.

Tough situation but maybe they want the vehicle out of her sight or she will want to drive. Been there with my father in law.

She hasn’t driven it in 4 years.
She is currently at my fathers house, they took her in when she got too bad to be left alone for any time at all. I’ve watched 3 people die slowly, it takes special people to take on that job. I just want to go out fast, like a heat attack or something.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Wow. Do you know if they are going to fix it?
Because you can't pass on the right under those conditions.

No idea. Apparently, the upper floors have been vacant since my therapist retired, and that was back in 2017 or so...

As I said before after the situation with the girl who wanted to have sex in a mall bathroom on Thanksgiving Eve, there is a one in a million chance that I will ever date another woman with Bipolar Disorder; Rose has poorly managed bipolar, and that combined with her intellectual disability makes her prone to random and sometimes violent outbursts. A guy I've been friends with high school (specifically Septmeber 2006) has bipolar and has down days at times, but he manages it incredibly well with medication. My aunt also has bipolar, and it can still make her an unpleasant person to be around at times, but she's my blood relative and I love her no matter how much she pisses me off sometimes.

The 19-year old who wanted to hook up in a bathroom also sent me a bunch of incredibly raunchy pictures and videos, included a video of her totally naked on her hands and knees wearing a leather dog collar. That in itself doesn't bother me, but the fact that we had only been chatting for a day and had never met in person was a bit sketchy.
