    Dealer in my state just told me I can't reserve (pay deposit) on a vehicle in transit even though it's within 250 miles (around the block in the mountain west.) I have to hope/pray/wait for it to make it to the lot before I can place a deposit and reserve it. According to the Sales Coordinator, I am not in their "market area." Does this sound right? Any work around?

    I had several dealers tell me the same. Though, I did find a truck on allocation this weekend and the dealer took a deposit. Build date was 11/25 and has temp VIN#. Waiting on permanent VIN from dealer.

    if I have been following this correctly, it should have been built a few weeks ago, but the VIN has not changed. Dealer states it’s expected 12-22-22.

    Has anyone tried Santa Margarita Toyota in SoCal? They have a few OR4x4 in stock, and a few coming in, at 1k UNDER MSRP. Lunar rocks; and even Long beds. I confirmed that discount with them. Had I known about them before Longo, I may have went with them instead.
