I have 90k miles on my truck and have yet to hear a horrible squeaky sound... I am thinking I should check them this weekend to make sure the squeakers aren't sitting below the pad itself.

If they're cool I'm buying the OEM Tacoma brake pads again, must be pretty good stuff.

Just curious if I'm retarded. Thanks

Curious to see the answer here as I sit at just over 700 miles on the Odo. My wife's mostly city-driven LR4 eats through pads in less than 15-20k miles.

I replaced the fronts at 50k and they still had a little life left. Rears are fine. I’m trying ceramic pads next time or sticking with OEM. The pads I put on leave my rims covered in brake dust.

Completely depends on your driving of course. 105k on mine and I'm starting to think about replacing pads and rotors.

Still running originals at 77,000kms. I don't see changing them for a while yet. They looked great when I switched over to my winters.

Still on original brakes on my '17. Mind you I've only put on 30k miles (50,000 kms) on it, so far.

Mine only has 26K on it and I believe they are 12mm new……last service I checked them a month or two ago and they were about 10mm.

I have a feeling the pads will last longer than my confidence in them will. I’ll change them likely well before they “measure” done or start squeaking on the indicator.

Fronts at 65k. Had vibration braking downhill, so I had dealer check and change them. They also machined rotors.

Warped rotors very badly this summer at 36k and replaced pads and rotors with power stop stuff. They had plenty of life left. Think I may have also warped the drums :(

Just had the fronts done, still had a little life but moving to Virginia and decided to have my old mechanic change them, $425 for pad and rotors installed. Brakes are something you need.

133000 miles on my 2016. Still original and work fine. Have lots of highway miles but also tow a boat a lot.

Don’t wait for the noise. If you wait for the noise you’re dead.
I did my front around 60ish k, with 25% life left, bough NAPA rear still good. A lot depends on tire type/size weight you carry and braking habits.

= Don’t wait for the noise to tell you there's a problem, sometimes they die without a sound and may take you along for an unpleasant ride. Just saying...
