What you say is true. The standard shoots just a good as any of the target models.
I’ll see if I can’t grab a picture the set later tonight.

My favorite on is probably the MKII Target I grew up shooting.
It’s the most accurate one I’ve shot, and probably because the trigger is well broken in and “I know” that pistol.

.22 short. Don't much see anything chambered for that!

Fun fact. The Ruger MK series will chamber a short from the magazine.
I’ve done it, lots of times. Shorts are fun to shoot.
But now they make LR in same velocity as Shorts, so I no longer buy shorts.

I accidentally bought 2 boxes of shorts one time and figured out they’ll shoot out of a 10/22 as well. Didn’t try loading the mag, I just loaded them into the chamber.

I prolly wouldn’t bother now but was back when I was a broke ass college student so I didn’t wanna waste that $7 of ammo.

    I’ve done that too.
I can’t remember if a short will chamber from the mag?
But dropping them in is faster.

Let’s see if anyone can guess what model this is. It isn’t chambered in .22 rimfire. But it can shoot shoot 22 rimfire. 5DF8B352-DB6C-4144-BF69-867021B739DE.jpg

I'd like to get a MkIV at some point, just for the easy take down after fighting MkIIs for 30 years. But has anyone tried to convert a MKII mag to run in a MKIV? Cutting a notch in the mag body, what else would be necessary?

Here is a hint, it’s centerfire.
But you can use inserts to shoot LR.

    Close, but no.

If no one gets it after this, I’ll tell.

Last hint, the case is based on the 357 Magnum necked to 22.
    It’s also a K-frame.

With that taper on the cartridge I'd have to say .22 Remington jet.

I love my Mark IV with an Oculus. Even more fun I think is the charger in the background with a binary in it.
