Something about this house speaks out to me for some reason...

1st Floor (with non-basement crawlspace/slab foundation)...

 

2nd floor (my plan for this house involves making an addition and using the upstairs as the childrens' play area)...

 

1st floor with basement floor plan (Note that the HVAC closet has been replaced with a closet and pantry)...

 

I am going to modify this plan a bit using Microsoft Paint; I will, for starters, relocate the washer and dryer into the powder room, expand the kitchen back so there will be room for a dishwasher, and draw an addition that features a a new powder room as well as a full master suite. As stated above, the upstairs will be the guest/kids area; I will also give the house a two-car garage and add a workshop. This house would also be suitable as a guesthouse for a much larger property, and I will experiment with that too...

 

I was at 159,800 when I rolled into a convenience store parking lot to use take a bathroom break, and I was gonna post saying that I was exactly 200 miles away from hitting 160K. However, I literally hit 159,801 as I inched into the parking space. So now, I can officially say I've got less than 200 miles to go until I hit 160K!

 

I did not realize this came out so blurry until it was too late...



The reason is because I had to go number two and was rushing I to the store to take care of business. This gas station has separate men's and women's restrooms. The men's room has a urinal and only one toilet, and I'm assuming the women's has two toilets. Somebody was already taking a dump in the men's room, so it was a mad dash up 611 to the supermarket to keep from ruining my underpants...



I made it to the bathroom in time, but I destroyed that toilet...

 

Literally a mile away...

I don't have any actual home design software, and I can work magic with MS Paint for your information...

 

And people talk about this stuff all the time in other threads without getting admonished...

 

More sensible square footage. Quite traditional too.

Something I especially like is the separation of the family room and living room, it is nice to be able to get away from the noise of the TV, etc..

 

I said the same thing in 2005. My stuff was fantastic! Well, fantastic in the same way that a video game from 2005 had the best graphics EVER

I'm glad you mentioned mileage because l am about 400 miles from an oil change, need to pick some up from Walmart tomorrow.

 

This is where the problems with this house lie. For starters, why are the washer and dryer in the family room? They could have at least done a closet/enclosure for it...? The kitchen is not big enough for a dishwasher, and the powder room is tiny...

 

Yeah that seems like a bizarre spot for a washer and dryer.
