    Hi all,
I recently installed a Pro grill and white LED raptor lights on my TRD Sport, but now my halogen headlights/Foglights look very yellow compared to the LED raptor lights, so I am looking at changing the halogen headlights/fog lights to LEDs. Any suggestions of particular LED brand or suggested maximum Lumens so I don't blind anyone?

    Welcome to the forum.

All the info you could ever dream of is here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-hid-vs-led-vs-halogen-h11-projector-headlights.589465/

In short to do it right, you will want to swap to OEM LED. Cost roughly ~$1200ish. To hack it, you can run the best replacement LEDs (replacement LEDs are generally a downgrade), the Morimoto 2 stroke 3.0s replacement LEDs are the best out there, but easily outperformed by halogens.

For fogs, see the fog thread
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-led-sae-j583-fog-pod-fog-light-review.554813/

Whatever you do, don't put replacement LEDs in your halogen fogs, that just blinds everyone else and has poor output, lack of cut offs and a bunch of scatter. If you want to run LEDs in the fogs, you need to replace the assembly. If going for 6000k I'd suggest checking out the Diode Dynamics Elites linked at the top of the thread.

Alternatively you might get amber raptor lights instead, which is the color they are actually supposed to be. Then your lights wouldn't look so yellow, rather than making possible sacrifices to your vehicles primary lighting to meet your cosmetic toy lights.

Thank you for this useful information. I didn't realize it would be that big of a deal....with that being said, I will most likely look into your last suggestion!

That's probably your best bet. I have the OEM LED's and the white raptor lights still don't match the headlights. If you're that picky about the differences, amber may be the way to go.

Thank you. I wanted OEM LED's but it didn't happen, that said I'm not ripping out my existing headlights and then spending $1200+. These look like a great way to upgrade the easy way. Has anybody tried these Phillips Xenon bulbs? Will they work?

Any H11 bulb that is coated in blue to alter the native color temperature of the halogen bulb is going to perform worse than a non-coated bulb simply due to the filtering effect of the blue coating. Sure, the light is whiter but it's also lower in actual output, so what's the point. And wtf are people so concerned with how their trucks look from someone else's point of view. No one cares if your DRL's or whatever don't match your headlights. All you should be concerned with is getting the best legal performing lighting you can and not fall for all the false advertising bullshit that surrounds you everywhere you look.

It was just a suggestion. You know, a $40 suggestion for some nice halogen bulbs. Do you have a better $40 suggestion? No.

Are they the perfect solution? No. But for a measly $40, they are a nice replacement for the stock shit bulbs.

im still a believer of the HID systems. i bought a 30 dollar set for the low beam and the fogs.mine where 6000k while the OEM DRL is like 5000k so the HID looks more blueish but you cannot tell the difference unless you look to close. but they are brighter than OEM whiter and give the same or more distance than a oem halogen or a LED

From his thread, lol. $10 bucks a piece, way better than the stock bulbs. Weird hate boner for one of the most useful members on this entire forum.

The better suggestion if he's trying to help the guy save money would be stick to stock for free. The personal attack on crash for his knowledge of lights is just childish. Just my 2 cents.

This is exactly what I would do if it were me. I don't think you'll ever get a good match and ambers looks super cool anyway.

I went with smoked amber Raptor Lights for my Sport...

Here's what they look like during the day and night with OEM LEDs and LED Fog bulbs:

You posted on a public message board. Not a good idea if you have a private beef with this guy. You look like the idiot.

don't, they look bright but don't illuminate the road...they just LOOK bright that's it. you can't see a damn thing or more than 25feet ahead at night! oh right in front of the truck is super lit, but down the road, nothing.
get HID's, those actually PROJECT the light down the path and look very good too.
