Yeah, you can always disconnect your battery first. I remember it being pretty simple and easy to avoid the airbag, but it's been a couple of years. You might even leave the pillar cover off for a bit to confirm if it's really the pillar cover that's causing your rattle. Hope you get it sorted out.

Yeah, dude that's a bunch of shit. You have no idea what a 'rattle box' is. Don't put those lies up here.

My 21 does this as well if it helps (at least the rattles part). Slowly I'm getting rid of them but I've gutted most of the interior to do so. I would agree that the interior build quality lacks and I was definitely expecting more from a new truck. They're nice trucks overall though and worth fixing up right. No vehicle is without its issues, and if you're like me I'm sure you'd find the faults in another platform quickly as well. The taco might be worse for rattles than my tC is, but with the tC it was expected. I'm shocked how cheaply built the interior is on these for how popular they are.

I might do that since I wanted to mod the dash speakers to fit 3.5" jbls. The dash speakers have always been a disappointment to me.

My Dash/A pillar rattled when the temp was cold. I used some felt to cushion the gap.
NOTE: I trimmed it after I confirmed it fixed the rattle.

I have a very similar rattle. It does it on the highway and not a low speed, warm or cold. I’ve been playing with the foam insulation board behind the passenger fender. I think the airflow rattles it somehow at higher speeds. I’ll try to post the video.
