Update, they never shipped me my batteries, I just got email that they are refunding my money. So not a scam, but not worth buying from either

 

Been eyeballing this one… last day of sale.

 

Out of curiosity whats the point of a dedicated screwdriver? I just use my hammer drill set to screw and adjust the clutch for different screws, isn't that the same as a screwdriver?

 

On paper yes essentially.
I have a M18 hammer drill so that’s a large footprint compared to an M12 tool when you put the battery in play, also the torque limit and variable low speed are nice when re-assembling equipment vs that of the high speed drill. I was skeptical at first because I have the M12 Surge that the 4 settings would be all I need for screws but it might be a handy tool to have around. I by no means need to buy it, but for the price I might find it very useful and even might just leave it at my job site. I figure it’s two $50 tools that I’d probably find to be nice to have.

 

That makes sense, I was looking at it from the point of view of already owning a m12 hammer drill, I can definitely understand the appeal of the weight and size if you are using a m18 drill currently. How do you like the m12 surge? I have yet to be able to try one out.

 

I have a like new M18 3/8 Stubby Impact for sale. Model 2854-20. I've used it for a few minutes total. Once to install my lift, once to do some brakes.

Anyone interested in it? No batteries.

Update on my update, they just refunded my order of the 56 piece socket set that was $40 cheaper than Home Depot. They shipped out the one nearly full priced item I bought just to get the free shipping on my order. So it’s getting closer to a scam. Price something good down to 60, I buy some other stuff I can get anywhere to get to 99 and free shipping, and then only send me the full priced stuff. Never again tooltopia, never again

 

I've got a question for y'all if you don't mind giving an opinion.

I need a new finish nailer for DIY projects like door/window trim, baseboards, etc. My 16g dewalt has quit on me after a good 15 year run and I've already moved most of my old tools to Milwaukee.

Milwaukee has the 15g for 299 (sad I missed out on the 239 deal a few weeks ago) and the 16g for regular price 329. Also the 18g is 249.

What would be your choice? Paying full retail always gives me indigestion but if the 16g is best I guess I can swallow it.

What's the real difference between 15g and 16g? (besides 1g). Thanks!

 

They are really good cordless nailers. I have the 18 and 15, my air nailer is 16. Angle on the 15 is different than 16. I’d prefer the 16 personally, and will likely pick one up. And 18 is a must have for me

 

15G will have more holding strength. I use 15G on stock 3/4" thick or greater. Everything else I use the 18G or 23G.

I have a 16G, but rarely use it.

 

Good point, my 15 is the old model. Maybe all I need is the new one

This seems to be the common theme. Either you are pro-16 for one all around nailer or 15 + 18 to potentially cover more bases.

I still don't quite get why they sell a 15 AND 16 when the gap is so small. My only concern with the 15 is splitting thinner wood but I guess having the 18 covers that, and it's nice for quarter round.

Hmm. 550 for two great nailers vs 330 for one.
