I know thee 4.0 headers are backordered, but I placed my order first thing on the 1st of Feb. Therefore it would make sense for me to have received a set from the first batch. That's all I'm saying.

Yea, I was kinda hoping for the same result. Got on the list during the first 20 and ordered on Feb 1st. Hoping to be part of the first batch, but didn't make it.
Maybe we all will be in on the second batch.:(

finally the weekend is knocking at the door and the header install is only 27 hours away! man these things have staring me in the face for a few days now waiting for free time to install...

not looking like i'll have time for a dyno before, but i'm hoping in the next couple weeks to get a dyno after and see where the toy sits performance wise these days...

WOW, what a challenging job. I'm installing the headers for the 4.0L V6 and could use some help.

So far I've got the drivers side manifold head nuts off (middle bottom nut was a PITA), The O2 sensor disconnected (tip: use a small flat blade screw driver to help with the clip), the 14mm collector flange nuts off, I've removed the bolt on the brace by the collector flange and loosened the spring loaded y-pipe bolts

ALL OF THIS WAS on the drivers side only (1.5 hours). The dilema...

Do I have to remove everything from BOTH sides before I can "wiggle" the OEM headers off? After doing only one side I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to "wiggle" the OEM header off. The long threaded posts on the stock headers by the collector flange is keeping me from getting things apart.

I'm doing this job SOLO so any quick advice is appreciated!

If you can find an extra hand it will help,I started on my own and ended up having a friend stop by, I was on the bottom pulling the y pipe out of the way and he wiggled the headers off the bolts another thing that was in the way was the brackets that are mounted on the tranny to hold the headers try loosening them to skootch them out of the way. Other than that patience, its tight in there. I would stop by and help but it snowed here in utah and I wont be able to make it due to the 3ft we got in the mnts.Good Luck:)

well i got the shortys installed and now have my check engine light on and its code p0430(Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2). Any suggestions on what it could be. The cats looked fine when i hade them off. Would the freeze frame data be helpful? It did leak a tiny bit at the flange right after i installed them, but doesnt seem to do it anymore There was water leaking from the flange, so i am guessing the cat is still good. Maybe the rear o2 sensor?

    P0430 OBD-II Trouble Code

    Technical Description

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)
    What does that mean?

Basically this means that the oxygen sensor downstream of the catalytic converter on bank 2 is detecting that the converter is not working as efficiently as it should be (according to specs). It is part of the vehicle emissions system.
    Symptoms

You will likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a rough/hard idle when cold.
    Causes

A code P0430 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

    • The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly
    • An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly
    • There is an exhaust leak
