I have done RAAMmat and closed cell foam on door skins, door frames, rear wall and roof. Also did the pool noodle mod. The noodle probably made the single biggest difference. Def wear gloves and take your time. I found cutting the butyl with a razor blade was easier then using shears. I also used a plastic roller, but mostly used the tip of the handle to work the butyl into corners and crevices.

You clip it over the two rear vents. Those are the noisiest thing back there.

I want to do the roof and doors on mine only because I bought too much when I did the rear. My rear has no interior panelling just a molle panel. Didn’t make a difference at all on my dB meter.

I did all of my doors as well as the back wall and some on the floor. It made a big difference. The doors close with a thud that sounds like my Lexus now.

I agree with a lot of the others. The doors made the biggest difference for me. Just a heads up, the 3m tape is when I had to replace my window.

So for the doors you guys just slapped it on the outside? I would have thought it would go in the outer door skin/inside the door.

I definitly second this!!! I used pipe insulation from Home Depot. Its 100% worth it especially since it's only about $5!! Made a huge difference in rear road noise even after deadening the wall, floors and doors.

I did not do anything to block the cab vents and wouldn't suggest it. I took 2 pool noodles and jammed them between the cab and bed from the bottom, all the way across. For $6 and 10 minutes, it was by far the best noise reduction investment.

I did butyl on the skin with a square of foam behind the speaker, then a layer of butyl on the frame. Think I may have put a layer of foam on the back side of the door panels as well.

I agree with the how the doors and back wall make a very apparent difference. I can't imagine, however, not doing the cabin floor, especially the areas under the back seats and the console. They all matter!

When I started, someone might have been able to talk me out of doing the roof. After I did it, there is No Way I'm the least bit sorry. And now that it is done there is no way I could be talked out of not doing it if I had to do it again.

To look at it my truck it is fairly stock looking. The things I've done, however, I think have made a significant difference. The sound deadening mod made a huge difference, especially on the highway. I even get a kick at how solid the doors sound when you close them.

Yeah not block those vents unless you want to enjoy the infamous 7 hole bleed.
