thanks, mine was already disabled, but for the sake of experiment, I enabled and disabled, and tried again- still doesn't work, but now my existing dashboards have been duplicated. Jeez, I feel old

Tried all three of Rush’s dropbox links, but never could get them to import. I may use it as a model for another dashboard since it looks clean. I’m just using a phone, so vertical is actually a little easier. Did blue to “match” my 5th gen 4R, as I usually tow with it instead of the Taco.
I just threw this one together while playing with the app, wasn’t even connected to the car.

 

That’s how I do mine. Sit in the couch and tinker while the wife watches crime drama. Lol. My Dropbox may be jacked. And of course versions of OBD have changed. Which are you looking for and I’ll see if I can get you a latest version if I still have it.

I was just trying to get your dashboard from the OP. I just bought the enhanced for 2017 Toyota (My 4R, but not the 2019 for my Taco). Need to add that TC lockup red/green light indicator to my current dashboard.

Just picked up an OBDLink MX+ primarily to make sure my transmission temp is within range after my first drain/fill. I noticed there were two transmission temperature options 1 & 2. Does anyone know the difference? Should they be identical temperatures?

Ideally, I’d like to monitor temperatures for my transmission, differentials, and transfer case since I changed all those oils.

 

Temp 1 is the AT Pan temp. AT 2 is torque converter temp

 

Do I need to try and repost a fresh link? I’m guessing it may have broken by now.

 

Thanks TacoManOne! I forgot to also ask about the transmission coolant temperature.

Would you happen to know the ideal ranges for all three transmission temps? The research I’ve done all generally say ‘transmission temp with ranges of 175-220 degrees’ but nothing specific to i.e. torque converter. Also read torque converter can briefly run much hotter (~250)

 

I have seen 230 trans temp for short stretches going up hills and 250 at the TQ. Only for a few minutes. The common chart showing trans fluid life are holding that temp for an hour. Short intervals at higher temperatures are ok. My larger trans cooler will drop temps 15-20 deg in about 10 seconds after I crest a hill.

 

thanks for this! SUPER helpful info. Now I won’t be too concerned with the TQ running a little hotter than the Trans Temp. And knowing it takes about an hour to be truly concerned. Definitely something I’ll be watching closely on the next trip out. Appreciate the quick reply too!!

 

It's possible, I know they didn't work for me. No big deal though, I mostly just use mine while towing.

I'm getting closer but not quite there. I'm using my Android phone as a display for now and here is what I see when using your imported dashboard. Is it common to have an Iphone to Android issue like this?

 

Oh wow, that sucks.

Most of the digital monitors can be just moved but the gauges are really messed up. I’m not sure what to do to fix those apart from redo them.

whenyou import them are you checking all the import boxes? Overwrite etc…
