Damn, had my truck back for a few days and now I find an air leak. It's a main steel line that runs from the compressor along the engine and under the cab to the air tank. Won't be a quickie repair even if they can get the part for this old truck. I'll be in a rental again soon. Grrr.:frusty:

When your Truck was down would that line have been removed for any reason??

In my Misguided Youth I would have sourced the parts and made a new line .

No, it's just a rust through. I'm about to take it back in and get a rental.
I don't work on company trucks, lol. And I drive a new taco so I don't have to work on mine either.:D

All part of the job plus 0.14 per mile.Do all the service work. The truck does not move your not getting paid.

Adjust brakes replace u joints a few failed turbos

Good old Dayton Wheels installed many spares .

The popular fix lights on dropped trailers.

The things I get into just helping out a friend with a few trucks.

The best part I made lots of mill wright company contacts which got me adopted as the new kid. Never looked back.

Yeah I've done my share of wrenching in my time and roadside repairs too. Just don't really want to do it anymore unless it's something fun for me, lol.
I tell people I drive a truck because I enjoy it not because I'm to stupid to do anything else. Truth be it pays slightly better than being a mechanic and I'm not tearing my hands up anymore.

That is why I enjoyed Flat beds with nice low loads.

I was crossing a bridge on I 95 near the (PHL) Airport with a empty 53' van a strong gust picked the left side of the trailer off the ground.

Just like that I had no vehicles around.

    I hate wind.

    Be safe.
