It has that crunch. I can't find it around here. My choices are Miami or (maybe) Bergenline Ave in NJ. :D

We all got something just before Halloween that I still have lingering effects of, don't think it was Covid because home tests were all negative. But my throats been a little sore for weeks and at nighttime (only nighttime for some reason) I still get a bad cough

Some weird stuff going around lately

Flu is the worst though, feels like getting run over by a train

Damn that sucks...think I vaguely recall you mentioning feeling sick, maybe.

The cough is the one that bothers me most, on top of having a really bad headache.

Reduce air circulation if you haven't. Colder air also = drier air. It happens to me too. Helps to cover my face with a blanket when I sleep

Yeah I'm usually one of those people that has to sleep with a fan on at night no matter what time of year, but I've noticed with it turned off I don't get nearly as stuffed up in my nose/head as I do with it running.

yeah uncontrollable coughing is the fucking worst, cough drops didn't help me one bit. DayQuil helped me quite a bit with the rest of it though

Doc should've administered a rapid flu test (swab the back of throat). Takes about 15 min for result and if done 24-48 hrs after symptoms start, antivirals can help. If it's been longer than 48 hrs, you're on your own. If it comes back negative, doc should be looking for other possibles. Chest x-ray to rule out Pneumonia, PCR COVID test, etc.

Feel better soon dude, sucks being down.

Was via phone, but I will be picking up Tamiflu in a bit since it's what he prescribed.

It's the fastest way to get anything versus stopping at the VA or seeing a doctor. Symptoms didn't really start until yesterday afternoon.

So whiskey, a good book and completed disconnect from reality isn't as bad as you would think. As I've bragged about before my camp setup stays at 65* throughout the night which is plenty comfortable.
