A colby valve would be a good product for this as well I think.

It almost looks like a 3 gal bucket handle. If the ends were sharp I would say a joist hanger but…

It is used with a spring on a storm door to keep the door from extending too far and ripping the door off the hinges or doing other damage.

I have used the "permanent" one to replace valve stems on the trail twice now, extremely nice not needing to debead the tire on the trail to repair a torn valve.

I have 2 of the emergency ones in the truck after @EatSleepTacos said something about them. Utah has a lot of places that if you get stuck, you aren't gonna see anyone to help for quite some time. Seems like easy insurance.

Follow-up to the Evolution 7 1/4" metal cutting saw.

If you're going to cut 2" square or smaller, this saw is great. Cuts nice and clean, and the ends are practically burr-free.

    20221106_103517.jpg

However, this thing struggled (and even bogged down) to cut 2" x 3" rectangular tubing.

Yes the metal was laid out correctly, and I've cut enough to know you go slow and steady when cutting. But man, it did not like rectangular tubing at all.

    20221211_132709.jpg

Can't recommend the smaller saw to cut within its capacity (2" x 4") so unless you're only cutting small square tube, get the larger saw.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas. My dad surprised me with a couple neat gifts for my small but growing tool collection. That gunmetal chrome is really nice looking!

    Nice!

But I see where he failed to teach you a valuable lesson as he left you the 10mm socket.

I have some parts to paint over the next few days and it’s too cold to do it outside, so I made myself a good old fashioned red neck paint booth. $24 fan, $5 filter, scrap metal, and a few cardboard boxes along with a few yards of tape later (beer can for scale):

    6A25285B-E367-4572-921E-9878B8971654.jpg

All the sides fold up into the overall footprint of the fan, stores neatly.

Feel like I should also add this is really just to contain any possible overspray. I wear a respirator when I paint, so not worried about it catching any chemicals.

The first thing that stands out to me are the outdoor tools. Personally, that's the kinda thing that simply isn't allowed in my garage, lol. I'd suggest getting a garden shed to house those tools, perhaps the ladders as well.

Ladders are just a hassle. If you don't have room to store them outside (but out of the sun) then I'd vote for hanging them from the ceiling - perhaps in the area directly above where the garage door sits when it's open. It'd make them harder to get to but they'd be out of the way. I don't use ladders much so I don't mind having them tucked away and requiring a few extra minutes to get down.

Looks like you’re pretty full. I agree to get yard tools and ladders to a shed if possible. I’m fortunate to have 10’ ceiling in my garage. The hanging racks over the door are great. Might be an option for you. I’ve seen some that are a platform with pulleys to raise and lower.

If you hang ladders above the garage door, you will most likely need a ladder to retrieve them no?

I'm short, so I love ladders...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have an outside shed that houses mowers/bikes/moped etc but its a decent trek to the shed from the garage and undoable in the Ohio winters so ladders in the shed would not work for me but maybe some of the cordless lawn tools. I've thought about the above garage doors for wood maybe. My garage is pretty full now but it just seems like that section of the wall is not using its space very efficiently. Anyone have any extension cord storage ideas they really really like?
