Trying! My dad and brother ride as well so all the bikes get shared between us. Brother is still about a year away from being able to get his license though.

I learned to ride in Ft.Lauderdale. Streets are definitely flat and no twists. Most all of the streets run N to S, E to W. They did have a few tracks though. Moroso in West Palm and one down south of Miami, can’t remember the name.

I finally got my 600 service done. I haven’t had time to ride it yet. I took it for a test ride at the dealer to be sure everything was good. It was the first time I could really get on it. The bike is a beast compared to my 2006 CBR600RR. I couldn’t get to the 15k redline on first because I was already approaching 60 and the front end start to lift. I may have to do the sprocket kit -1/+2.

I know that intersection pretty well. Driver that caused the accident was in a stolen car and my best guess was that he was intentionally trying to crash it to self harm. He was headed straight into a small cliff face before hitting the truck and ramming it into the bike. You can barely see it in that video, but there was nowhere else he could’ve meant to go. Apparently he succeeded but it sucks for the dude in the truck and the rider- he did an interview and talked about all his medical expenses.

Ton of fun for the money as well. Paid 400 for it and only have another 450 or so into it. Great little bike for sub $1000!

At least you didn’t lose your license plate. Mine snapped in half on a trail in Montana and I had no clue until I got back to the trailhead.

Honestly not as many problems as I expected. They made the G5 100/KE100 in a very similar form all the way through 2001, so a lot of the general parts are still available. Harder stuff to find is pieces that changed over the years like the headlight and certain wiring bits.

Facing up a ledge, front tire was up, rear was not. About 1.5, 2 ft high. Bounced to grab traction and the bike got a ton of traction and shot straight up the ledge and I did not.

In my experience, no fault means both insurance parties pay for their own client's costs. Then if one person is clearly at fault, or can be determined to be at fault, the other insurance company will go after their insurance company for reimbursement.

I've been in a couple accidents, some definitely my fault, and some clearly not. In both the ones that weren't my fault, my premium wasn't raised, insurance paid me, and got reimbursement from their insurance. In the ones that were my fault, my insurance paid me and the victim and my rates raised.

Luckily I've been accident free for about 8 years unless you count me destroying my truck in the desert. but somehow they didn't raise my rates for that.
