We have been working on our rear cat box for forever now! This is the second version as I truthy hated the first one. It is pretty close to being done, but I am only worried about potential variances of the rear exhaust in where it is located towards the rear of the truck. I figured I would get a pretty decent sample size here.

Above is a photo of our rear protection design. It works with our current plate for those who already have it, and we have been working on a half plate/small cover for those would be interested. This thing is pretty big, beefy, and will give a lot of coverage.

What I am wanting to know, is how far your exhaust pipe is from the frame rail at this specific location.

Here is a more zoomed in area of the photo. I am measuring from the edge of the frame rail, to roughly the center of the pipe. (it looks off from the center due to the angle of the screen shot.

8.5" to 8.625" best I can measure. No way would I get 8.9" to 9".

I measured 8 1/2" from the edge of the C-channel to the centerline of the exhaust pipe at the cross member on my 2022 2.7L.

Can you tell me if your half plate for the 2.7L will block access to the spin on oil filter or oil drain plug? Will it need to be removed to do an oil change? Thanks very much.

If I remember correctly you can still get to it with the plate in. Same with the Transmission plate. I want to say the oil filter is just forward of the crossmember between the engine and transmission.

Talon, Do you know when the half plate and this rear cat box will be available on your site?

I think we have it pretty good to go. I just made a batch for a local fleet and want to see if they have any install issues.

The big things is if you have after market cats, or exhaust work done, the location of the rear pipe might vary.
