Getting ready to throw bigger tires on the my 3rd gen and wondering if there’s anyone near by who’s got the hypertech module and would be willing to help me recalibrate?

I’m in Mystic, CT and will to drive a bit to meet up with someone. Happy to pay a fee or bring a 6 pack just let me know what works for ya! Thanks

The device is installed and loaded on the truck. It isn’t a simple computer mod then you roll out. I just wanted to make sure you are tracking and don’t think you could just get a tune adjustment and be good.

I have the hypertech since rough country doesn’t make one for second Gen. There are a few nuances to it but really getting behind your speedo was the hardest part.

It's easy to do yourself. Taking out the gauge cluster is no problem, and programing the module is easy enough to do.

oh the device needs to live in the truck forever? I was under the impression you just had to run a program through it to recalibrate the system.
    Thanks for the heads up

No you're thinking of a tune. A tune cannot re calibrate the speedometer. The hypertech module gets plugged into the back the instrument cluster, which the original wire then plugs into.

Rough country only makes a 3rd Gen model and Hypertech lets you selects your model and year and on the website to get the correct part. You can then buy the part off Amazon or there but not sure they sell direct. Should be around $60ish. The 2nd Gen is around $200.
