I am running -30 wheels, 17 x 9's on a 35 x 12.5. I have JD fabs inner fenders but I ran it with stock inners for a while. I also have a front mount relocate. If you are running the pivot kit all the way forward which I am. I still had to clearance the firewall a little. At full lock and stuff it still rubbed the firewall a tad. Just a couple persuasive hits with a 5 lb hammer did the trick. If you bottom out hard you will also likely hit the top of your stock inner fender. I was able to get about positive 3.5 caster and -1 camber. It's probably a little different for every truck though.

Do you have pictures of how close the tires get to the jd inner fenders?

Nice. How much is the going rate for tube up there right now?

I want to say I paid 8.25/ft for the 1.75x.120 7 something for the 1.75x .095 and high 6’s for the 1.5. Not cheap. At all. Wasn’t long ago I was paying 4ish a foot.

Sounds about right. 1.75x.120 DOM was $5 a foot and now it’s $9 a foot down here. It hurt when I made a wrong bend on a 10’ section while making my rear bumper.

I did get kind of lucky on this batch. They are always 19-24’ random lengths. Priced by the stick. So regardless if it’s 19 or 24 the price is the same. These ones averaged 23’ 7”.

But it’s still just shy of 3k in tube. And that’s actual cost from the distributor.

That’s nice that they do that. Mine measures each stick and charges accordingly.

Depending where I get mine they do it that way. Last time got lucky as well with everything around the 22-23 foot mark. Local places when I’m in a pinch and need it now measure exact

Alright @81Trekker we’re off to JV bright and early tomorrow. Ready to finally try that back door challenge we had arranged a few years ago lol.

Yeah, we have a local supplier that does it that way as well. He’s at 10.59 a foot right now on .095. Prices on steel are ridiculous now. And people still question why this stuff costs so much.

Only “good” thing about prices is it’s real easy to hit my $500 minimum for free shipping from the supplier that doesn’t measure lol

If it makes you feel any better I’ve wasted at least 500’ of tubing over the years if not more :)

Every single whoops hurts. My favorite is when you stick the tube in the wrong direction only to realize you did just that as the tube is just starting to bend.

My fuck up was making the bend on the wrong side, realizing I left enough extra that I can still make it work, then making the bend on the wrong side again for the second bend. Doh.

They’re visiting you too? That’s sweet, I just saw on their IG they’re with wheel every weekend right now.

Yup. That’s exactly what I’m talking about lol. Unfortunately all part of the fun. No matter how much work you’ve done, it’s still gonna happen occasionally.
