What the dealers “ask” is irrelevant what they sell for is a completely different story. My dealer was asking 10k over for my truck

Test drove a 6MT used Taco before deciding to order one. Their salesteam is quite the joke not only with their markups and they referred me to "just order it online" after I told them what I was looking for. When rich elites live in the surrounding areas, that's just what happens to these dealers as they know fools will pay the markups to get something to make their congested HOA neighbors jealous.

Rich elites usually have connections and don’t pay markups that’s why they are rich :).

Here on Long Island I started at 6 k over invoice. Penn Toyota ended up MSRP for a Sport that I should have in 5 weeks. The Pro’s however 8-10 k over , was bummed at first but I really not an off roader and the Pro would have been an expensive mall crawler

With the markup on Pro's I figure my pro led headlights add an extra 3-4k in value.:rofl:

edit: I've got the shift knob and exhaust too. Add an extra 2k. :luvya:

I had an experience with Ryan over there at Right. I got a good offer from another Toyota dealer and he wanted me to show him that deal on paper and said he would beat it by $1.00. Beat it by $1.00?? I was insulted by that. I told him in a polite way to F#ck off. I will never set foot in that dealership again, Had a very good experience purchasing form Toyota of Surprise.

Go up to koons arlington. No idea what is going on with Priority, but they are the worst Toyota dealer, in every respect, I have ever seen.

Encouter #1- They offered $8000 in trade value for my 2008 Tacoma; KBB trade value was 19000. I sold it a month later for $22000. I bought a new truck at a different dealer.

Encounter #2- A year later. Saw a 4 runner on the lot that met requirements. No markups on the sticker (late 2021). Asked the salesman if there was a markup that was not depicted. He said no. We went in and sat down. When the "numbers" came there was a $10000 markup on the printout. I asked why he lied about the markup and he said "this is not a markup, it is a market adjustment"

Lot of certified pre-owned TRD Pros on their lot over the last two years with stupid sticker pricing and less than 100 miles on the clock. Priced higher than new.

We “needed” a very specific configuration. Of the closest 17 Toyota dealers in MD and VA, they were the most willing to work to get it, and came to a decent price (this was late ‘21). I was very surprised given that it is arlington and conditions may have changed since.

I traded my 18 F-150 for my 22 Tacoma on 8/5. I used mid Kelly to establish the value of my trade. Currently, mid Kelly trade value for my trade was $5k less. I'm very happy when I traded when I did. The days of stupid high trade in values are sadly over.

I also traded an 18 f150 for a 22 taco back in march. I had the 5.0 which I do miss, but I don't miss the sounds the engine made or the plastic oil pan. I wasn't too happy with the taco till I geared down to 5.29s. I just got too used to the torque of the full sized

Dealer in Iowa said they were still asking for a maker adjustment of $2k-$5k depending on model. With a trade in, they could “probably work it off”.

Still a bit of a tough market.

To bad you can't order a Toyota online or at any dealership. Someone's not being honest.
