Bought a grill off of eBay and the inner black piece with the emblem had a bad seal and some other issues. So I requested a refund and apparently it didn't mean much to the seller because I received a refund without having to return the grill. The piece I actually needed was the outer part of the grill. The gray piece in the photo because the other one I had was marked up pretty bad and had some ugly scratches. So obviously the simple fix was to pull off the grill and just replace the outer part and put it on my original piece. Best part it was free!

Unless it's drawing air from outside the engine bay it's not worth it. I believe afe makes one not sure it's worth the price point though.

Did dealership just do any service lately that would have involved removing crank pulley?.......cuz bastards left the bolt hand tight and there came a tap tap tapping after drivetrain warranty service on my old 05. Luckily I found it before caca happened and ripped em a new one in front of crowded service area on special trip back there just to give them a review of service.......since my internet was down, lol

Drug my thule racks out of cobweb farm, removed lid off bed and mounted them up for upcoming hauling chore.

I could haul both 12' kayaks up top with 2 bikes underneath and 2 surfboards stacked in center on tailgate pad....if I needed or wanted to....with room for gear and camping stuff too. Chore is just 9'6 transport/sale tho. Options options options.....betting a tent would mount up on them all nicelike as well.

Cables and cable locks to bed rings but stays in garage.

No I've done all the work for this specific Tacoma for over 10 years. Never had to deal with crankshaft. Surprisingly it wasnt torqued very well. The rubber deteriorated and I believe the crank pulley seized a bit and finally gave. I'm sure it was like this for awhile too cause he had an odd squeak I couldn't figure out for months

Yeah, I cringe at thought of anyone else "repairing" anything of mine. Only reason the 05 went there was due to every seal possible failing and having drivetrain warranty. They replaced head gasket chasing the timing cover oil leak in the episode where the bolt on the harmonic balancer failed to have a wrench put to it until it almost fell out before I caught it.

Mounted up new to me yakima racks ($30 on Craigslist with locks and keys (quite a rarity)). Used some bar clamps for mounting off road lights to mount them up to my bed bars.

Not sure yet how I feel about the looks but function over form amd I can pull off the racks, leaving the bar clamps on in minutes.
