    My whole area has been screwed up by ass holes . These are small pieces of woods around here and if somebody thinks they can still hunt ( stalk and spot ) they are fooling themselves. They push the deer to the next tract of land .Plus the guy that has been doing that his father cleared a large portion of woods for residential homes .

    Rain all day long today so I didn't hunt. Got that doe skinned, boned out, and in the fridge last night. So today I canned around 35 pounds of homemade sauerkraut and made 10 lbs of venison summer sausage. Family Christmas gifts.

    Last 3 hours of light in my ladder stand - zero deer .
    Pull in the driveway and backyard has at least 3or 4 deer .:facepalm:

    Jumped 4 walking to my stand. Climbed tree, pulled out phone to play solitaire, shot deer, climbed back down tree. Maybe 15 minutes. As I was packing tree stand up a 5 point and another doe walked up but did not feel like dragging 2

    Because of all my eye surgeries I usually head from the woods around 4:15 . Especially on days like today . Dark and raining. I have a hard time seeing when light fades .
