Let’s define “eBay” first… when I hear and say an “eBay” part, I assume it’s a no name brand China or Taiwan part. That said, you can certainly score new and used name brand parts on eBay as well. I’ve bought plenty of parts on there (name brand) for vehicles motorcycles boats you name it. Find a lot of great deals on there! BUT, I’m not testing a no-name part on something like say a $40k truck. What happens if the part, snorkel for instance, leaks? Now we have water running through the intake, into the manifold, and then to the cylinders. And we all know water can not compress. Then boom!! No more motor. You’re out $5k plus for a new engine. And good luck contacting a company whose name is nowhere to be found to help now that a POS part didn’t work. Now going the cheap route to save a couple hundred bucks just cost you a couple thousand!

Sorry about the tiresome rant… just hate the fact that people spend all this money on these trucks, and then fill them with the worst parts possible. What’s next, stick-on chrome fender vents or my favorite… body lifts using hockey pucks!

 

@Taco critter might have been able to test in those pot holes in PA…

 

PA has shitty roads and shitty drivers. I swear the worst out of state drivers always have PA plates. Driving around like a fish out of water.

 

There are a few things I’m not gonna cheap out on. Though most threads I’ve seen say they are identical to the ARB (I think) snorkel. Some of them have the same logo spot that arb has but just does not show.

That said I am cheap lol

Well you have to cut no matter what in order to hook it up to your air box, right? For $130 I wouldn't mind one. Even just for the cool factor, I can't lie.

I’ve had a snorkel (eBay Hilux) sitting in its box for 2 years because I have been hesitant to cut my fender

 

Passed on some yearling does. Going back up next weekend. I will take more pictures the next time I am up. My brothers place has a dirt county road that goes for about 8 miles until you hit pavement. We have to drive to see the next door neighbor.

 

About the same here. I'm 4.5 miles off the nearest blacktop road. It's all switchback roads here, takes 15-20 minutes to travel that 4.5 miles. Takes me about 1/2 hour or so round trip to get to my mailbox lol. We use atvs & SxS's to visit each other up here. I'm back off of the main dirt road down a private road. If I don't leave my property i dont see a person or a passing vehicle, i love living like this.

 

Ive never seen so many beat to death Subarus in my life.

 

Great price, too bad ( for me ) that it's for a 3rd gen.
