OP, this forum has a bunch of small dick A-holes who have nothing better to do than shit on other people's ideas and trucks. Cool concept, great work on the design and print. If you like it, do it. MESO has a whole store of stuff like this and nobody says it's lame or whatever so keep up the good work.

I bet you could design one that wraps around the hood in between the hood and fender panel and then clamps from the bottom via set screws (Look at diamond antenna lip mount) to see what I'm talking about. Once you have that down, I bet it wouldn't be too hard to get some metal ones made and then you're in business.

No hate, it just really looked like a M-4 rear sight assy.

    You are not wrong.

The design that is on the truck is a pici rail with sight retical cut through; I was going to place a red fiber optic light pipe in it. Unfortunately the rail design is difficult to print and the overall width is a bit too narrow astheticly. So I simplified and went with a more direct clone of the Ford design.

I may still find a way to put the light pipe in but the retical is a toss up.

It's a minimal functional use but I find the device sticking up helps with corner marking. The Tacoma isn't terrible about knowing where the corners are but this makes them even a bit more easy to judge.

OP, do what makes you happy. I am always tinkering with things. If I like it, I move ahead with it. If no one else likes it, oh well :) I wish I could 3D print and fabricate, so you’ve got me jealous there  And you never know who else might like it, or what else you might inspire.

Now that I would buy. Maybe I will convince my 5th grader to make one in class. Pretty bad ass the school district has been funding these printers and teaching kids early.

I can see a whole line of products for this. Key mod/M-Lok/Picatanny mounts? Could be tactical Tacoma time?

I was thinking more like Cars and Coffee meets, but the Jungle sounds cool too... :hungry: Pull up to the Taco Truck in your Taco Truck. Guy asks if you need a taco holder. "Nah, I'm good."

Now those events are for street cars. The tacoma is meant for the extreme.

No, but good idea. This does out what drain plug to pull when doing first oil change by oneself though. Red=bad

A small amount of research suggests the Bronco hood handle thingies are tie downs, e.g. for attaching a canoe/kayak to the roof. Maybe you could attach a hi-lift jack and then start waving at Jeeps for +2 cool points.

I'll never understand why people post stuff here clearly looking for other's opinions, only to then get their panties in a twist when they get less than positive responses?
