Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
I'm not built for skating, but I have indulged on a vintage kawisaki Drifter machine. 1978 vintage!

Correct. But in the future, I won't be able to help myself from thinking aboot it. I didn't go to the doctor last fall when I hurt my back due to finances...and I have insurance.

I learned to skate when I was growing up in Missouri. Wasn't too bad for a while.

Now I'd probably break an ankle or something.

I can skate, but haven't been on them in three decades.

We used to carry our skates, sticks and a cheap collapsible net down to the cemetery about a half mile from my house. There was a pond in the middle and we would set 'er up and play...until they threw us out.

Then we went to street hockey, with the balls and convex pucks.

Snow machine? No, unless an MX bike in six inches of snow qualifies...

No, we get a hefty winter for the most part. There are many sled owners around here.

Have no desire to do either. Why would I pay that much money for a sled I could only ride a few times a year?

True, still no desire to ride one. Plus the only person I know that has one went to Florida.

    Actually, yeah.

We have a couple curling clubs here in Seattle. It's fun. Kinda like bowling on ice. And, just like bowling, the beers afterward (during) are the best part.
