And all of that is within striking distance of the STL group. So give us a heads up if you really want to party.

Keep in mind a lot of that area is at elevation so it won't necessarily be warmer. (Moab)

I was wondering that. Looked at the averages high's for March, Hot Springs 60's and Flat Nasty is in the 50's. Does that seem to be in the ball park?

I’ve never really used letters specifically to designate much other than one off things but blue was always used to designate the edge of a harvest stand that wasn’t the edge of a property line.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
While that sucks, perfect time to buy a bumper!

I'll keep those dates in mind. We were also talking about going to Nashville with my brother around that time also but no dates have been set.

That's about right for that time of year. Can definitely swing either way though. I'd add that FN is pretty isolated, camping is dispersed in a field in the valley, no amenities beyond a portapotty, and no cell service. There are a few cabins for rent though. I personally like the isolation but it's not for everyone. Hot springs is more organized with camp sites, shower house, more cabins to rent, etc.

STL is St Louis? What is the trail over by Glade Top that is supposed to be rough?
Warmer... coming from Northern Wisconsin winter anything is better. Last years trip to Arkansas I camped in -2 and 70 degree weather (two days and 800 miles apart) with snow in Missouri.

I personally love it. We’ve done a weeklong trip there for 10 years now

It can be challenging for spouses though so I try to have full disclosure. Especially when town is 30-45 minutes away

Yep, I am the current keeper of the removal tool and I believe I have the insertion tool that @Camerasandcoffee made. (Did you leave that in the box Jonathan? Don't recall, will have to check tonight.)

@Voodoo_Welder I'm happy to pay forward Jonathan's help with mine and help you to get yours swapped if you're willing to do some wrenching. Let me know. Would be great to see another Voodoo Blue rig too!

Indeed. Also acceptable for that time of year is 17 degrees with 2 ft of snow. :D

A week earlier is shamrock shakedown.

So close to shamrock shakedown.... It's only 2.5 hours from Nashville

Nicest porta John's on the planet. We've got video of a 3rd gen Tundra doing like 80 maybe 2ft past them. Hilarious.

Glade Top is much closer to Springfield.

It's only 22 min away if you drive right :D

So my trip through Missouri was a tad disappointing last spring. Mostly my fault. If I go back through I need some more specifics for the "cool" fun stuff as I mostly spent two days lost, wandering around. My idea of fun started in the Ozarks, but even then the locals were only forth coming with scenic roads not challenging 4x4 puzzles. Found some on my own (completely by accident...) but nothing in Missouri. I camped outside of St Louis at Onondaga SP, then worked my way over Glade Top to Branson and into Arkansas and the Erbie ford of the Buffalo river. When I came back into Missouri I was way over on the East side above Calico Rock into the area near Council Bluff lake and then crossed over to camp in some small section of the NF on the westside of the state. looking for some of the stuff I have seen on YouTube...

I think you missed a huge opportunity. What if those beans were the kind of magic beans from like that one book with the giant and fee-fi-fo-fums? You could have had your own army of giants to carry your Tacoma up a mountain.

Yes the insertion tool is in the box with the removal tool. I still want to shorten it up although using a long piece of brass to drive it from outside the wheel well worked well.
Depending on timing I can help with the install as well. My schedule is a bit hectic as late.

Happy belated @Thatbassguy! I missed the Tekton love fest. Can attest for the torque wrenches. I got the same bundle you did @rubbersidedown. Got the heavier duty one for my father-in-law so he'd stay away from mine  he works on box trucks and the like for the Airoldi bros. Mine would be garbage in a week from him trying to use it on those. I purposely stayed away from you fine gentlemen during this, our time of the darkest of Fridays. All this talk of Cannibal sandwiches reminds me of something my mother-in-law makes called Carne Apache. It sits in the limbo between raw and cooked. It's almost like a ground beef ceviche. I'll have to have her make some so I can bring it out to one of the outings.
