There are only a handful of battery manufacturers (like 3 or 4) in the US. Almost all of the brands are made in the same factories and they put different labels on them. East Penn is one of those brands.

Except Interstate. Now maybe its just the Kirkland/Costco contract they have with Interstate but I swear every single one of their batts I have thrown in any vehicle has leaked.

    Here she is @Kwikvette

i'd be more active on there if peeps were on my games, but havent seen anyone running similar.

i'm assuming volts need another bump, (goes up to 1.52) currently using cpu-z to monitor and stress test on top of intensive gaming without issues on 4.5 rn. so far im loving the old 8350, i can't complain for a 80 dollar cpu :)

I need to grab a picture of what i did with cooling to make it possible. Ripped out the 90 mm fan from my old cpu cooler and have it laying on my vrm's heat sink loool

Pretty much, which is why I had to ask if East Penn was even a good one or not.

Previous owner put in a Duracell AGM in the LC, and East Penn manufacturers said battery.

I'm not as up to speed with automotive batts, but am a Commissioning Manager for hyper scale data centers. Most large UPS units that I deal with are equipped with batteries from Deka or East Penn. Haven't had any major issues with the main manufacturers, but do get occasional failed jars. The number of failures is likely due to space conditions (i.e. one client keeps electrical room at 85⁰ and that kills jars quick) and the number of jars on site. I have over 15000 jars on the site I'm running now, and at a 1% failure rate, that's 150 failed jars. Seems like a lot, but isn't bad in the grand scheme of things.

All that said, I run Interstate Megatron batteries in my rigs and have had zero issues over the years. Have 8 years on the Taco battery and I only drive it once every few months without any trickle.

I have two 4.10s and a 4.56 with a truetrac on the shelf.

Really on the fence about swapping to 4.56s on my 3.4/auto 04. Largest tire it will likely ever run is a true 32” 265/75R16.

Deka, East Penn, and Johnson Controls are the only 3 options in the US, right? everything publicly available is made by them afaik

I have the odyssey extreme AGMs in the ford and they don't flinch cranking it in freezing temps even now that they're 3 years old. Not looking forward to the replacement cost LOL

Odyssey is owned by enersys. By far seem to be the best of the best out of the batteries. We’ll fit AGM that is. The other big three agms are… meh

I've had some good Deka motorsport AGMs. But that was cause I was too cheap to pay $180 for a battery that fits in my palm from Odyssey

Walmart AGM, just as good as the others maybe, but you have to go into a Walmart.

Yea I’ve got zero experiance with the power sports stuff. I have East peen, and Johnson control brands AGMs in the other trucks (I didn’t pay for them) they decfinetly don’t have the odyssey umph

their AGMs are a different chemistry

I run Odyssey in the Taco and the LC, but the corolla gets whatever I can get for $10 at the junkyard and right now that's a used Deka (AutoZone Gold) AGM

I haven’t paid for a battery in my corolla for years. And with the new rav4 battery recalls… I’ve found myself getting a lot of free group 34 AGM batteries!

Why are they recalling the 12v batteries, what's there to go wrong with a cheapo flooded battery

People putting wrong batteries in the cars. Don’t fit right and cause fires. If you don’t have a group 35 in the car, Toyota will partially pay for replacement with a proper battery. A lot of customers say yes

We got a '22 Rav4 loaner while my wife's is getting repainted, I swear the thing has no balls whatsoever unless you mash the pedal. Even just cruising the neighborhood going from a stop sign. First time I drove it felt like the e-brake was still engaged when setting off from a stop. I thought her 2013 was weak but feels like a go cart compared to this one.
