Zone 6" kit, RC Vertec coilivers, 18x12 Weld's and a set of 33" Toyo RT's. More to come soon.
Yeah, when I called them to figure out why the 6" CO's were sitting so low, they told me to crank up the preload and said they don't recommend using the spacers, but he didn't know why. I already had them, and I know it's been done before from YouTube Vids I've watched. I also didn't have the spanner wrench, and I suspect increasing the preload will stiffen the ride.

I have my preload little over half and ride is still nice and off-road ride quality is still good . But I do also don't like the fact yeah it sits low still in the front . My winch bumper and 12k winch is the cause .

You can rebuild to make them ride the way you want them. Rebuild and tuning is way better than off the shelf

Been a while since I've posted here, but considering these for my 4runner. I see a few year or 2 year old posts on the thread, any updates? How are these holding up? Looking to replace my Icons that I have rebuild 3 times in 60k miles.

I am curious as well, to how these kits are holding up. I’ve been researching kits for months. Every kit has their pros and cons. I would love a wide stance with a 6” lift, but I’ve only gone as far as 3” on my other three Tacomas. I know how a 3” off-roads and what to expect, but how does a 6” do? Seems like I would have a lot more ground clearance. But obviously issues with CV’s and other components. I’ve been looking at rough country, pro-comp, and BDS 6” lifts, and honestly it seems like RC has the best bang for the Buck with the vertex CO. Would love to hear what other’s opinions are on the three. Regardless of the three I’m not a fan of the big blocks in the rear. Is there a way to go with a different leaf spring and smaller block? Again I just want to do this once.

Think I’m going to pull the trigger today and get the 6” lift with vertex front and rear. RC just started a Black Friday deal. $150 off the kit plus military discount knocks about $500 off total

I've had the rc 6" lift with adjustable front coils and reservoir shocks all around . In the 1st 6 months I had a rear shock go bad due to being a dud from factory. Now I'm over a 1 1/2 years on the lift everything is good rides great . Only downfall is you don't get the full 6" lift. There is a guy on here that added a 2" spacer on his 6" lift and far as I know he hasn't had any issues . Im following him to see how everything pans out .

Anyone having a front end squeak?

I can put my hand on the front left coil over and raise and lower the front end with a floor jack and feel vibrations as it squeaks.

Nothing here. I do have a little one in back from the leaf springs, but very minor.

Yes after 1 year I'm not sure if it's upper and lower control arm bushings

Try preloading the spring a little bit and/or reverse and see if it changes. What kind of upper control arms are you using?

Could be your issue, not sure 3”/3.5 coil overs are supposed to be run with stock arms. In fact almost certain not

Has anyone tried adjusting the height of these themselves. Last time I had one side raised about .25" and took it into a shop, but now Im trying to lower both sides .75"-1" and don't want to take it into a shop. Was wondering if anyone's adjusted the height successfully by jacking up the truck and cranking with the spanner wrench as opposed to removing the strut and using a spring compressor.

The spanner won’t fit to adjust while coil over is still on the truck. I took a 5/8” punch and inserted into top collar grooves and adjusted. They are hard as hell to adjust, the collar holes are now a bit messed up but I got the job done. I used a little cheater bar to gain leverage with punch.

    Good to know, thanks.

Was there enough space to to loosen the locking nut at least? Also im assuming you have the side lifted to remove weight from the wheel? Were you increasing the height of the lift or decreasing it?
