I’m probably wrong on the size don’t hold me to it. It comes in a set of like 5 from harbor freight of Home Depot. Just find the one that fits. In fact it 5/16

How do you like the Rough Country upper control arm? is it rubbing on the tire?

Not even close to the tire. I like em I had SPC before and they were crap, bushings failed. Only problem with the RC is the rubber ball joint boot dries out and cracks. It weeps grease now

I can live with that if it fails, to bad it can't be changed out after the fact, but probably to much work to do so.

They sent me brand new ball joints under warranty no hassle. I’ll change them out some day

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced this with the rough country reservoir shocks , but being too soft makes my truck hop down the road , like I'll look in my side mirror and I can see my bed side moving . Other day I cranked the front to 6 and the rear to 3 and problem went away rides better so far .

Reservoir for the shock has a knob on it with 8 adjustments. 1 being softest to 8 being most firm.

Has anyone run the 3.5” on a really heavy truck? I’m trying to get at least 2.5”. I’m running at least 800lbs extra, with 200lbs of that in the front steel bumper and winch. After only 20k miles, my Eibach setup appears to have failed. I’ve been going back and forth with them. Even if they warranty my coil overs, I am still not satisfied with this ordeal and looking at other options. In my mind, I’m thinking the 3.5” will settle close to 3” on a lighter truck, and probably even more on my heavy truck to possibly 2.5”. I’d rather it be adjusted down on the3.5” to accommodate then trying to max out the 3”. Am I missing something? I’m running an icon rxt heavy leaf on the rear.

Sounds reasonable, my 3.5 only yielded 3” out of the box. I had to pre load the coil about half an inch to get the full 3.5”. I have no extra weight. Front measurement stock was 21 center hub to fender now it’s 24.5ish

In Toledo, OH. Just wanted to add that I've recently purchased and installed the 3.5" fronts. Going to really abuse these. I ultimately see these rusting quickly and have applied a liberal amount of fluid film to the areas as seen in the picture below. The shocks came pre-adjusted, but did NOT account for taco lean. Passenger side 1 1/2" higher than driver side. A spanner is not included with this kit and was purchased on their website. It was a little confusing on the site to find the correct SKU (10403), but it is the one for F-150. I will post a ride height picture as soon as I get it dialed and re-aligned. Got some limit straps ordered, too. already busted a CV. Waiting on ORW to ship.

Yes, honestly I wasn't too happy about it. I am driving with about a 1.5" lean at the moment. Spring rates and shocks are the same length and size.I have noticed in a few pages of this thread that most people just have a taco lean. This was a little more. I have some spring tools to adjust more easily, but honestly the average person would have to take this to a shop to get it adjusted and that's kind of wrong.

Update: I decided to act like a 'regular DIY guy' and use the spanner tool they sell on their site. It's trash and I ended up using my set. Only good to loosen the top collar. Machinists will be happy to note that either a cutoff wheel to shorten the outside diameter of the tool 1/4" OR a 5/8" hardened punch with a small cheater pipe will work for you. I highly suggest getting a set of spanners (or the 1st option) to avoid the collar damage noted here. This is bad design. Big loss for RC.

Ya my collars are chewed up to after using the punch and cheater bar. Ridiculous, I just shaved down my RC spanner wrench as well to get it to fit

Hay all my fellow vertex owners . Gotta question?

Has anyone have had the vertex shock blow a seal yet?
