Just a poor argument. Spreads aren’t facts, and they’re set by betters. Betters that are biased lol

Amen to that. Michigan proved it with Ohio State, and without their best player. Alabama tried arguing that Bryce Young's injury was the reason for the losses. If you want to be the best, you have to take care of business with what you have. Almost all of the top teams have dealt with key injuries late in the season as well.

This is one of the things I have disliked about Saban since he

Yeah, that's a really cheap excuse, because Alabama got HANDLED by a 3rd string qb at OSU.

Alabama hasn't played well at all this year.

Is there some garbage mixed in? Yeah. But there is with every season and every game. Missed calls, injuries, etc.

But Alabama simply hasn't executed on either side of the ball at a consistent, high level.

The fact that the WR corpse is exiting in mass makes me curious.

I saw a statement somewhere the other day that NOW Alabama is firing on all cylinders and clicking.

Then, why are all these WR's leaving?

B.O.B is probably heading back to the NFL.

Entire new offense coming in next year?

Who is the OC? Who is he already recruiting to Alabama, and for the love of GOD, go get Brent Venebals (I've never been able to remember the proper spelling of his name) and make him your DC. Best chance you've got at tackling Kirby. He is locked IN with his defense, recruits and it's scary what he may do in the future.

UA better start thinking about who will replace Saban. Can't imagine it'd be a fun act to follow. Meaning Saban needs to start grooming, and Pete Golding ain't it.

This brings new heat to Kiffin to Bama, as he simply stayed home with a new contract and a big time investment, and kept his hands clean of Auburn. (For the rivalry) He's also probably the only high profile HC that is confident and cocky enough to follow Saban. (? Right?) He's also young(er) and would provide potential long term tenure to match UGA/Smart?

    Unless you groom someone.

Completely agreed. I think Saban has a lot of time left in him, but I also think Alabama is relying too much on brand power right now and the winds have shifted toward Georgia.

Definitely. Kirby was a big part of much of Alabama's success. It's no surprise that he's done this.

My son got his airline tickets, hotel reservations, and game tickets for the Fiesta Bowl, TCU vs Michigan. He graduated from TCU in 2016. The last TCU football game he attended was in 2018. It's just too bad that the Sugar Bowl doesn't have the 2-seed vs 3-seed game this year... at the Superdome right in our area.

Should Stetson at least get an invite to New York?

Why not? All of the other contenders shit the bed at the end of the season. However, it sounds like Caleb Williams is still the favorite.

Not so fast my friend.......... this was a good one. but all laughing aside, I believe this is only the second time Bama has failed to make the playoffs. Not a Bammer but I respect the run.

I believe ESPN also mentioned Ohio State is like 4-1 on being given the benefit of the doubt to get in.

I think he should at least get an invite. I know he won’t win, and shouldn’t. But still…let him enjoy heisman weekend.

I definitely think he’ll get an invite, but I feel the same way about Georgia that I have when certain Alabama players won or were invited in the past. The team is fantastic and most likely to when a team heisman (the national championship), but nobody is the “mvp”. Take them to another team and they don’t carry them. The heisman has failed a lot, and become a popularity, best teams most popular player award…

I don’t get Herschel Walker, Reggie Bush, Cam Newton, cough Christian McCaffrey cough, Joe Burrow vibes from anyone this year or many years. So they’ll just give it to one of the best qbs on one of the best teams.

Unfortunately the Heisman has become a glorified QB award. The QBs that win it also don't tend to translate well to the NFL because the level and playstyle is so different. Cam Newton is probably the most successful recent one that comes to mind and he had to change his play style a lot to remain in the game. About the only time I see Heisman winners maintain success in the NFL is when it is awarded to non-QB players win it

Agreed, I'd like to see the Heisman reserved for the Derrick Henrys of the league, not the most popular QB; and thats not to take away from the talent of some of these Heisman winning QB's, I just personally think it should be reserved for the ones who are doing the running. But thats just my personal opinion and doesn't mean it matters or is right.

Joe Burrow is a really recent one that stands out, but yes it usually doesn’t translate.

I’d rather see it go to the true ballers, Christian McCaffrey got snubbed because Henry played for Alabama. Don’t get me wrong, Henry is great and had a great college career….but McCaffrey broke Barry Sanders all purpose yards record, still yet to be broken again. If that’s not MVP idk what is. Best player on a team of 5 stars isn’t what MVP is.

I don't disagree, he was just the first "winner" that came to mind. The point still being, reserve it for the Henrys and McCaffreys to compete for, and not so much the QBs, unless they're running the ball and hitting stiff arms like Newton and Burrow.

Henry broke records that year too.

And, he's pretty good in the NFL.

Henry CARRIED Alabama that year, almost literally.

McCaffery didnt get snubbed because Henry played for Alabama.

He got snubbed because his team played at 1am, for the rest of the country and the Pac SUCKED. (Still does)

Yes and also because Henry played for Alabama. It was said over and over, Alabama plug and played RBs. Yes Henry is great, but for “MVP can’t live without carry your team” consideration…no. His whole team was great, they just ran him like 130 times the last 2 games to start padding. Without Henry, Alabama is still great. Without McCaffrey, Stanford was NOTHING

also, they’re both great in the NFL, but mccaffrey was again on the worse team. Titans > Panthers
