Worst beating I ever got in my life was from a 1/4" hose @4500 psi that decided, right when I was leaning over it, to part ways with the 90 degree fitting that was holding it on.

Boston apparently had been discharging clean water into the harbor for years and it was killing the ecosystem by mixing too much fresh water with not enough salt water. So, they pump it under the sea floor way out into the ocean where it will mix better? That is what I was told but we were only digging the tunnel and removing muck. I was not one of the smart ones.

 

High pressure off highway mobile hydraulics. From cranes to street sweepers to dozers to skidders. Pretty much everything is running over 4K psi now, which is mid pressure. Our systems typically run up to 6K psi with intermittent spikes to 7K.

Good morning guys. Im putting a new blade drive belt on the mower today and starting my leaf cleanup since all the oaks decided it was time to drop leaves.

 

What did they cut it with, a hack saw??

 

Some sort of power saw, maybe an upright bandsaw that isn't squared up

 

I’m not claustrophobic but reading the South Africa and Boston comments gave me the heebi-jeebies. That’s a long way down, what was the temperature down there? Fifty feet of rock doesn’t sound like enough to hold the ocean up lol.

Utah is interesting but didn’t freak me out, how tall was the mountain above the shaft to put that kind of pressure on the rocks?

Under Chicago sounds like the safest place to be in that city lol

Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year, and every year Morris would say, 'Esther, I'd like to ride in that helicopter.' Esther always replied, 'I know Morris, but that Helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.'
One year Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said, 'Esther, I'm 85 Years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance.' To this, Esther replied, 'Morris that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.'
The pilot overheard the couple and said, 'Folks I'll make you a deal. I'll take both of you for a ride, and if you can stay quiet for the entire ride and not say a word, I won't charge you. But if you say one word, it's fifty dollars.'
Morris and Esther agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard. He did his daredevil tricks over and over again, but still not a word.
When they landed, the pilot turned to Morris and said, 'By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn't. I'm impressed!'
Morris replied, 'Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said something when Esther fell out, but you know, fifty dollars is fifty dollars.’
