So, thinking about going up a tire size to 265/70/17, probably Wildpeaks or KO2s (well, more than thinking since I already bought the 4Runner Pro wheels). Assuming Costco (if KO2s) won't mount these to the truck due to the 3% rule - what is a preferred tire shop that I could ship to directly (or take to if necessary) that will put them on the truck? I'm in Fairfax and am entertaining the Discount Tire in Fredricksburg (mainly because I read more than once on TW 'I took my truck to a Discount Tire after Costco wouldn't mount them'...or words to that effect), but surely there is a good shop closer, yes? Thanks for the advice and suggestions...

Search Go Mobile Tires VA. I've used this guy a few times and he does a good job.

I had Va Tire and Auto in Herndon mount my 265/75/16 Wildpeaks a couple years ago. Had a local shop here in Harpers Ferry mount my 33s last year without any drama.

I have a stihl farmboss I am thinking about selling. It has been collecting dust for the better part of a decade. Especially since I bought an electric chainsaw. As others have mentioned the electric stuff is just great.

Right! no gas tube. This is a manual straight pull. The idea is that in order to use a suppressor at it's full capability, the bolt needs to be locked in (no blowback) to push all noise and such to the front. I'm wanting straight quiet hunting!!

Right! I'm right handed, so I like the left hand charge instead of taking my hand off the grip and trigger assembly. Also it is a standard AR bolt, but literally cut in half! So it doesn't need a spring. Look up Solo 300 and you'll see a lot of examples that reference Han Solo pistol. lol You can make this a straight up pistol (of course with an AR lower registered as a pistol).

I just cut off the gas regulation block for single shot AR's on my hunting PWS upper. Honestly was looking at just getting a rug er american in 300 for those applications, but haven't gotten around to pursuing that option!

I know and I still think it's a good choice, especially with your chainsaw breaking past!!

That decade old farm boss on the other hand is probably worth picking up (checking with my in-laws on their interest FYI @bryanh69 in case you do throw it up for sale).

Also interested in the Farm Boss, @bryanh69, since I missed out on Dave's killer deal.

So on my way home yesterday around noon on 95 South. Not much traffic and I'm taking it easy. I gently pull up behind a VA white suv in the far left lane and keep a nice cushion. When a break comes up and I see that no one has been in front of him for the last 6 miles and I'm able to go around him on the right......he speeds up to close the gap! Fortunately, I was already on the gas to get speed going, but I basically cut it close between the semi in the middle lane and him trying to block me. What's up with that? This is why there is road rage and stuff like that!

Mostly Stock for now, 265 75 16 Falken AT3W, Tinted fronts...
This was a while back at this point but I took my tires I bought from Discount Tires Direct to Auto Stop in Falls Church and they did it no problem. Back then the guy that did it drove a lifted FJ so he knew the deal haha. I also only went up one size to 265/75/16.

I'm also biased but the wildpeaks are great. I've got about 50k miles on them and they still have life left.

You cut a PWS piece!!! Their gas piston setups are some of the best feeling recoils I’ve ever felt.

He's busy on an assassin gig. I heard the night vision finally showed up. Opened up a new level of possible.
