When the SR was available with MT in 2016 and 2017 it also had that feature. The Off Road and Pro have a different Brake Booster than the Sport so that's probably why the Sport only comes with it today.

I saw on a thread here that the TRD Sport had hill assist, then other folks were saying it didn't so I just forgot about it. Then when I got my truck I was pulling off a trail on a slope up to the road and I noticed the truck didn't roll back as soon as I released the clutch. Sweet!

I heard they will also order you a decaffeinated sugar free soy latte when you drive past a starbucks. Because it knows you're coming in for one.

The 87 GL wagon I learned on didn't even have a cup holder

The spare tire was on top of the transmission in the engine compartment

The e-brake brake went to the front wheels. I figured that out the hard way trying to drift around corners up on logging roads behind my house. I kept trying to pull the e-brake and slide the back end. I was like "hmm, it seems like every time I do that the front wheels lock up and I go nose first into the ditch. I wonder why that is"

7 speed is the most gears I've heard of for a manual.

Isn't the new Corvette auto only?

The electric Vette has engine sounds and no engine.

10spd manual would be impractical but somebody would be asking for it.

Yes, new WETTE is 8 speed DCT. At some point in time the speed factor trumps the "shift yourself" factor in these cars. But manual vs auto debate in sports cars may actually be more controversial than when to change your oil.

Autos are faster, and for every day driving I want an auto. It's those damn manuals slowing down the rest of the traffic behind them.

But an actually sports car should still be a manual with a ICE bolted to the front of it.

In a single box, that seems like the limit. The option of a splitter box would be interesting though... you could have deep main box gears and then an overdrive splitter or normal gears and a reduction splitter. Or maybe an over/under box...

It would be fine. I had a 10 speed f150 that always shows what gear it's in. You'd just drive like it did, skipping every other gear. It basically acted like a 5 speed for normal driving.
If you're towing and need to dial in your rpm it would be pretty handy

Maybe you should give your gf a bit more credit instead. It’s obviously something not everyone can do and definitely a skill with a high ceiling.
