    Hey guys and gals,
Just got a great deal on this 2008 Tacoma Regular Cab 4x4 w/ 30K on the clock and clean as new! It's stock now, but as everyone person who joins a forum like this, there will be many mods to come. I also have a 2000 Tundra that I've put alot of time into; Icon's, ARB, Intake, Header's, 5100's, yada yada yada....

It's a bit of a change coming from the Tundra with all the room, but being in school and more driving, it was killing me on gas. The Tacoma is not as fast (expected), but its not slow. It gets up and goes good enough for me and does 80mph without me knowing. Gas mileage is great too; I got 20mpg's driving it pretty hard and up in the mountains, with the Tundra I would probably get 9mpg driving it that way lol! The other thing I love about this Tacoma is the turning radious. Its like driving a jeep, but better because its a Toyota!:D

Anyways my plans as of now is to remove the ARB locker from my Tundra RD129 and install it in the Tacoma, I've read that it will work, I hope? Unfortunately the Icon's will not fit from the Tundra, so I was thinking of going a little different way and go for OME. The Icon's are nice when you going fast, but a little stiff around town, and I'm not going to be desert running with the Tacoma. I have Alcan's 3 leaf mini pack on the Tundra which I will swap over. For the rear I was think of the traditional route of 5100's, they served me well on the Tundra. Tires, can't make up my mind. I want 265's, but I really do not want an E rated tire because of how light this truck is, and alot of the MT's out there are E rated. Or is E ok for these trucks, I don't want a rough ride? A camper shell is a must for putting my stuff somewhere out of the cab. A light bar to hold my 4 HID spot lights from the Tundra, and fog lights. Down the road some bumpers and sliders and bucket seats is a MUST have (need room for my sub)! I plan is to go more towards the expedition route.

Alright I bored you enough here's some pics...:)

Thanks! Nice Dcab, I wanted one of those for the longest time, well I still do....

Thanks! Thats great to hear. I'll search for those upgrades and will put them at the top of the list. The two things I'm missing the most!

Thanks! I like the time line of Toyota's in your sig!!!

Thank you! It's a great site with ALOT of info. I like that light bar on your truck, I'll have to look into that!

Thanks man! Thats my Dad's new ride. Kind of a similar story as he too found that truck clean as new with only 16K miles. It's a 2007 RCSB 4x4 TRD with the 5.7L, rare. Talk about fast! We added the RW rims a couple days later after installing 5100's up front at max lift. The thing is huge, inside and out!

Nice! I'll add that to the list. So far I'm stuck between yours, Defiant, Nfab, and Crossfab....

Will do! He loves it! Regular cabs is how trucks first started out, its history!

Thanks. Ahh Portland thats a cool city!

You don't know how long I've looked and drolled over your truck lol! Yours and many others have made me decided on OME for my lift. Also I just read about installing cruise control and intermediate wipers, looks easy and will add value too!

Of course I love your Taco, but I really love dad's new Tundra! I absolutely love reg cab short bed trucks. I would have ordered that same configuration myself, but it was substantially more spendy than the Reg cab 4x4 Taco I ordered. Nice to see all the Toyota trucks in your stable!

Haha thanks! If I had the cash I would be driving my Dad's Tundra, instead I found the truck, told him about it, and the next day he bought it.:( SOB lol!! Everything in the stabel is Toyota's, mine, my Dad's, and my brother has a Tundra, oh and my Dad's mid life crisis; Corvette.

By any chance do you live next to Laurelwood? If its you, I've been driving by your truck and seeing your progress and saying "man I want a mini taco!"
