Id have got out and punched it right in its stupid face. Then ridiculed it and called it bad names. Maybe even put it in the corner with a dunce cap...

Minimal, my brother in law had an elks rack come through the wind shield on passenger side of his Ford Ranger. Rack got hooked and as the the elk twisted its head violently to free itself it ripped half the dash out and part of passenger door panel. The elk once free from its temporary Ford imprisonment simply crossed the road at blazing speed, hopped a barbed wire fence and never looked back lol!!

My neighbor was out running and she abruptly turned around to see the commotion. She was just looking at me horrified like I had done something wrong, so all I could think to say in the moment was, “SHE HIT ME FIRST!”
It’s a wonder the neighbors wonder about me o_O

Uh, they are SUPER tasty! Maybe not as tasty as Moose, (my favorite) but tasty nonetheless!
I still have the dent in my driver's side door from one o' them dumb cluckers that ran right up out o' nowhere (the tree lined ditch) and plowed into my truck while I was goin' 'bout 50 mph. That rut addled critter left a smear of shit all down the side of the truck an' a big Ole dent in the door! I was so pissed I didn't even stop! Had had the truck about a month at the time.

    Estimate back. $6251.00......
I could fix it for half that. Man they pad the numbers. I'm sure Liberty will ok it since it is one of their picks. Toyota dealer body shop so that's a plus. 2 month estimate turn around.

Wow - tell Liberty you'll take $5,000 in cash and get it fixed yourself for half that much.

After looking up part numbers they supplied from the estimate I could do it for half the estimate....they used retail for all the parts...I wish I had the time to do it.

This was last New Year's eve, a doe climbed out of a ditch where the tree line was only about 5' from the road edge, so I don't even think I got on the brakes before I thumped that thing. First one I've hit with enough force to do damage, I've had two other "minor hits" in my life where I was able to come to almost a complete stop, so I ended up sort of pushing the deer vs. hitting them. I've never understood how they can be so smart in the woods when you're hunting them, and so dumb when vehicles/roads are involved. I debated having it replaced with a full steel bumper with headlight hoops at the time but opted to replace it with stock for now. Like in your case, you almost need a full cage around the truck to protect from those stupid things running into the side of the truck.

A paintless dent removal place should be able to handle that easily. You can try it yourself with the pull it out with a plunger or whatever method but likely will still have a blemish or a ripple when the light hits it right. If you’re not worried about it I’d say go for it but good PDR guys are quite amazing at what they can do with stuff like that. Most are surprisingly cheap and in the end will look pretty damn near perfect.

    No dogs?
I unfortunately have 1. I’ve never felt worse driving than I did after I hit/killed it

Typical. This is why we need more hunters. I keep hearing more and more of these types of encounters.

Here was my result from a deer hit. The deer ran off afterwards. No idea if it survived.

OP try a paintless dent repair if you haven't already made the repairs. A good technician cam usually bring it back to pre-accident condition and you save yourself having to respray the panel and hope they got the paint match/blend correct.
